Silly and random question: if in the list of documents in the IL photograph is marked Y (The NVC sent this form or document to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate) - it means i don't have to bring it, right? I used my stock of remaining 5x5 photos for the medical.

I'm the beneficiary.

Don't have a timeline? Don't know how to get started with it? Do it for the statistics sake: VJ video guide

Filing for a USC spouse visa (IR-1/CR-1) and not sure what comes next? Check out the VJ IR-1/CR-1 guide

Want to know what's happening with your case? Here's the USCIS tracking page (get an account and see if the case's been 'touched'!). Don't get your hopes up though, some cases never even appear there despite being successfully processed.

Now photos you do bring to iinterview. Remember every step you submit pics is for that offices use. I believe 2 or 3 is required.

Hmm. Then why would they mark them as having been sent to the consulate by NVC?..

Hmm. Then why would they mark them as having been sent to the consulate by NVC?..

I do believe this is NVC's checklist also to note exactly what they received and what they are sending.

Everyone I know that has had interview were required to bring 2 to 4 to medical and same for interview.

Okay people are really stressin this checklist. Whatever NVC has of yours you don't need to bring to interview. What you bring is all about your comfort level. I know we had duplicate of everything submitted from I-130 to NVC (all 2100 pages. We didn't submit any documents to NVC so we had to bring all to interview no big deal.

Yes every now and then we read how someone went to interview and the CO had nothing from NVC (that's why copies are good). Having copies sure won't hurt just in case. But not required unless the checklist says to bring to interview.

But for those who didn't submit 2013 tax forms to NVC I would sure have that with an updated I-864 just in case. Had over if asked.

And showing payment receipt isn't necessary because you wouldn't have got case complete and interview if you didn't pay. I do know that you need the DS-260 conformation page they do ask for that.

Ok thanks Dwheels! I have a question. On Thursday my CEAC status showed ready and what I assume that meant was that our file reached the embassy. So I had my hubby call them because we want to try to get an earlier interview date. The embassy said they don't have our file yet. Also I tried to track it per the instructions on this website but never came up with any results for Sofia Bulgaria. I know there was another couple who got case complete and a June interview also but I didn't see any packages to BG. Should I be concerned? Is our file lost? Or is this normal. I'm a bit panicked by this. This process has caused me enough stress already. :(

dwheels76 i sent you this message before

I really need your help

We sent an expedite to nvc for my son to be in the interview with me

They sent us this message

(The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: SRC××××××××

The correspondence submitted is currently under review. An appropriate action will be taken once this review is completed.)

So is this mean that they will do anything for us !!!

And how long does it usually take to complete processing in nvc if they accept the expedite ??

Thank you dwheels76

Ready just means your interview is scheduled. As far as tracking when ever you find out your package left. then you just use that range of days.

Sorry nothing for Bulgaria. I sure wouldn't worry they have almost a month its not like they send it off immediately. Just please don't worry they know how to get it to embassy when they get it to embassy.

What day did NVC say your casefile left?

You should just be focused on interview day and your happy life after. Trust me its okay.

dwheels76 i sent you this message before

I really need your help

We sent an expedite to nvc for my son to be in the interview with me

They sent us this message

(The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: SRC××××××××

The correspondence submitted is currently under review. An appropriate action will be taken once this review is completed.)

So is this mean that they will do anything for us !!!

And how long does it usually take to complete processing in nvc if they accept the expedite ??

Thank you dwheels76

I have no idea sorry. It could be 30 days it could be months. You need to be calling them monday soon as they open and ask for supervisor to get things clearer.I sure wouldn't be relying on emails and such you need to be calling.

How long it has varied 1there's no set time.
