For the London folks: is there an option for the passport to be mailed rather than have to pick it up in London?

I think that another flight to London would give my poor parents financial heart failure!

You can do home delivery or depot pickup, no need to go back to London thank goodness!

Hi Dimple,

Yes you are correct - I have just got back from collecting my Document Pack - and just like London buses - you wait forever and then two come along!!! Yes I have two visas printed in my Passport!! Although one has "cancelled without prejudice" stamped across it. they are identical apart from the serial number!! I can only assume that some over zealous admin person printed and stuck it in my passport twice!! The package had the famous Brown Envelope inside it also - although mine is a big white one - LOL!! Now I need to log in and pay the final $165 to get my Green Card processed!!

I must say that the speed mine has been processed was fantastic, and I'm sure you will soon get good news.

Congrats!!! Wow, I see you got a magical early date and already have your visa in hand!!! YAYs!!! My husband also had his interview today and is APPROVED :) I was hyperventilating since he is originally from Pakistan (in England on a student visa), that he would get put into the dreaded AP... however, the heavens showed mercy on us :) Wish you a great fishing trip with your stepson and a lovely journey over to the US!

Immigrant and K visa applicants are required to register with the Consular Section's Visa Information and Appointment Services' contractor for the return of their documents. The documents will be returned by courier at no extra cost to one of the courier's 31 depots in the United Kingdom. Home delivery is available at additional charge of $30.00 per applicant. Please visit https://usvisa-info.com for further information.

Moreover, one of the VJ member also got the information from NVC agent that they are done with scheduling interviews for June with Mumbai consulate. So i was bit worried to get one in June.

That's what I was told by the agent. I am still unable to accept that. However I did do some digging and found that they have scheduled people up until the 12,13,14,15 and sometimes even a few days after. And the Mumbai consulate had even posted the Interview Schedule on the 15th of April as they normally do, and then on May 1st they updated it. I had counted the number of CR1 appointments in the original schedule which was 143 or so, and after they updated it it was 168 CR1 appointments. All this makes me think that we might still have hope.

If it does happen ( which i dont think will ), it should happen before May 15 because on May 15th, the consulate publishes the final interview list.

I agree, and I hope it does. There are too many of us who have waited way to long to have to wait any longer.

Some guy from Mumbai with a CCD of 04/28 got 06/03.

I dont see how anybody with a CCD before 04/30 DOESNT get a june interview.

Maybe.

If you are an F2A, there is no chance. IR1/CR1, probably. Also keep in mind PD matters. They first look at PD and then CCD as far as i know.

I dont see you have a timeline or a signature with some info.

Finally made it here. Case Complete May 6 2014. Now just waiting for interview to be scheduled. From the spreadsheetit looks like most Canadians wait approx. 2 weeks for interview to be scheduled. Still hoping for June interview.

That's great news - congratulations to you both, so will your hubby POE before the big day now???

Yes we got an earlier medical date - in fact very early, but we didn't pursue it after they told us to let them now when I had had my medical. As we had booked our trip to Spain as we didn't hear from the embassy we were doubly surprised to just get two letters in the post saying my medical had been rescheduled to the 2nd. It all turned out well in the end though and I now have my passport in hand, with the visa, and can go and enjoy the fishing trip, and then we fly back together on the 29th - what a wonderful day that will be and I also get to attend his Graduation on th 30th!! Whoo Hoo!!

As far as I'm aware you cannot go to the embassy to collect the Passports, so they definitely do not need to fly back to the UK! In fact you need to make sure they have registered on the web site, Link here: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv , and choose your return method - as BOS_LHR stated you can collect from the nearest DX Secure depot (They have one at Belfast Airport) or have it delivered to a private or business address! They need to print out the confirmation form and add it to the package they take to the embassy as it is required when your parents are called to the window for the first time - which is ID and Document checking phase.

Hope this clarifies the process a little.

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

It happened!!!!!

My visa status shows as ISSUED on the CEAC website!!! Wohoooo!!

I am such a happy bunny right now.

Hoping I will get my visa in time for 17th now :)
