I received my interview letter this morning and I have a question concerning my police certificate. It states you may need to bring an additional cert if its more than a year old, but then on the last page it has a checklist for document status. my police cert has O beside it which means "The NVC sent this form or document to the US Embassy."

So does this mean I do have to get another one or not? Does anyone understand what I mean? Thanks in advance

I know this saying. Its easy to quote but difficult to bear n go through. Any ways,i m having complete faith in My Allah n i know IL will come soon insha allah!

It would be my first wedding anniversary and i'll be spending it alone. :cry:

Same for us :( It's a Monday so I don't think we'll even get time on a Skype call. Probably just whatsapp messages. It stinks, but at least it's just this once! There's a whole lifetime of milestones ahead you'll have to share, missing one for the sake of the rest is worth it :)

please can someone tell me how long it takes for me to get an email confirmation for opt in electronically

Without a signature or timeline it's hard to tell where you are in the process, but I suspect you're at the NVC and recently got your case number. If so, head to the NVC thread for others who are at the same stage as you:)

When you have the interview, will your PCC be past the one year date? If so, then be sure that you obtain and take a new one. Good luck!

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

May 14 - Checklist for Police certificate came via email.

- Sent checklisted documentation priority post!

May 15 - Package delivered per mail tracking.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

May 30 - Assigned Interview date!

June 2 - Interview letter arrived via email.

June 11- Medical appointment Surrey, BC

July 8 - Interview in Montreal!! APPROVED!!!!!!!! July 10 - Visa package and passport in hand!! July 23 - POE!!

I'm so excited to see that my parents cases on the ceac website are in transit to the embassy :D

I also think this is the last time that I will ever call the NVC, so I'm interested to see who picks up - hope its someone nice so I can say thank you!

I-130 for both parents

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

Am I missing anything for the interview?

My husband will have:

P4 Letter

DS-260 Confirmation

Original Police Certificate

Copy of I-864 packet

Copy of IV supporting documents (His BC, Our Marriage License, Police Certificate)

Copy of I-130 Packet

Original NOA1 for I-130

Original NOA2 for I-130

Two US size Photos

Hoping that this below is enough for what they need on taxes. I sent in I-864 with 2012 as most recent. :

Copy of 2014 Tax forms 1040 showing stamped by IRS as filed (Transcript is still not available)

Copy of 2014 W2 for me

Should I send more pictures? Proof that I went to visit and that he came to visit since we filed the I-130?

Our interview was scheduled on June 13th...which is a Friday. I'm Superstitious and I am trying really hard to take this as a good sign that I need to not be so negative on the date.
