What a cute story! And congrats on case complete!! I'll never forget the first words my husband said to me. " hi! I am Mihail and I speak not so well English. " lol! Love is the same in every language though! :)

How cute...

I remember while driving my husband back to his apartment way back when we were only dating for about 3 months.. he just looked at me and said ... "I'm gonna marry you one day" his english was very broken but it was so cute. I will never forget that especially since I was so surprised he said it in english . My stupid response was " oh really?" what an idiot !!! LOL but here we are trying so hard to be together.

Tomorrow will be exactly 2 weeks since NVC received the correct birth certificate. I'm afraid to call ;-( it looks like it's taking a little bit longer than 2 weeks. I'm going to try to hold off until Monday... Anyone else send have NVC received their documents on 04/24??

Hi! How long does it take to receive a checklist email? Our AOS has been reviewed last Friday, and I have been told over the phone on Monday that a checklist was on its way. I find it weird not to have received it yet :cry:....

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

UGHHHH I hate that they take so long for checklist items. My correct AOS was scanned in on the 18th of April and they accepted that on Monday. So was your package received by the NVC on the 24th ( tracking) or was it scanned in on the 24th? They don't start the clock until its scanned.

I put 20 dollar in my IV packet with a note to please "Detail" entire packet before shipping....

wouldn't want is to be looking all "nasty on arrival"

today is 14 months since I married my beautiful bride. And I finally was able to pay AOS and IV fees today for her case. Its a good day! Although it appears they still have not joined her file with her daughters file. I understood I only was supposed to pay one AOS fee for both of them. But each one showed an AOS fee. I hope it clears my bank asap!

Hi everyone,

I received my NOA2 on May 1st, and now I'm waiting for my case to arrive at the NVC. I called USCIS yesterday to see if my case had been sent yet, and the person I spoke to said that could take 90 days. According to the helpful guides here, that seems wrong. Will I receive a notification when it is shipped? Is tomorrow too soon to start calling the NVC?

Final question: do you think there's a chance we'll get an interview date before October 1st? It seems like 5 months is pushing it based on recent information. :(

Wow this is weird, I received the email at the same time you replied to me! Thanks for your response!

So apparently they just "lost" the joint-sponsor's US passport copy... I wonder if the paper fell on the ground when they reviewed our package and the agent was too lazy to pick it up, so he generated a checklist instead.

We express mailed another copy yesterday with the original bar-code to avoid wasting more time. This checklist annoys me so much.
