Just got off phone with NVC. I almost cried when the lady said your case was completed today, just waiting for interview to be scheduled. I had to ask her to repeat those magic words. And they are still scheduling for June interviews in Montreal

I met my Hubby on a cruise. He was working on the ship and I was on vaction with me friends. As a crew member he was not allowed to fraternize with the passangers but after we spent that first night together we could not stay away from each other. We also were in love at first sight! He barely spoke english and of course who speaks Bulgarian?! Not Me! That was 8 1/2 years ago. For the first few years I traveled as much as I could to see him We have had a VERY long distance relationship the last few years. I had actually all but given up on ever being together but last year when his son turned 18 he said it was time to start living for his happiness instead of taking care of everyone else. ( He also took care of his sick mom for a few years, she passed away 2 years ago) So I traveled to Bulgaria to marry him. I can't wait to be with him. When he gets here it will be the first time we can spend more than 2 week together. I took a month off work so we can just enjoy each other.

One little trip on a cruise ship changed our whole lives! Funny how that works!

Submitting the form doesn't automatically update the spreadsheet. I manually go into the forms response and add/update folks on the spreadsheet. But, looking at the forms response sheet, there's a problem with your timeline (hint: Armenia is listed as the consulate). Fix the error, then re-submit the form with all the updates.

And what you're referring to is called the signature. Go to your settings, then the Signature tab. Input what you like.

My cat's kittens were already adopted before we even went to the shelter. But, being that kittens are extremely playful (not so fun with all the computer cables we have in our apartment), it'd be a lot of work to train them and such, so I didn't want a kitten anyways.

Then contact your Congress person and you should have another Senator you can contact. Don't let this go and if they don't respond go in person and make them. SOB's have to earn their money, not just sit there and pollute the air. In fact just go in person and get the ball rolling.

NVC is definitely controlling the workflow right now...! The wife called last night and spoke to Gus and told her the Fee payments weren't available yet.. We filled out the DS261 on Saturday, and nothing yet. (Just impatient really!) We want to get the ball rolling . Gus said he can only say it will be from 10-20 business days.. so tired of those business days.. but he did wish me a Happy Birthday . Hoping the lovely good message of "This case is in process of termination" goes away and lets us pay the bills.. At this point I don't think I care if we spend £100 to overnight the documents! I noticed a lot of people from last week who received a case # have been waiting for them to invoiced..! I just don't want no more delays...

This whole waiting game is ridiculous. It upsets me when people judge immigrants for not doing things "the right way" and because they violate the "American Laws" people would not have to do that if they did not make make us wait almost 2 years and make us jump through hoops and pay them for this whole process. That is why there are so many immigrants in this country... And for people like us that do things the right way we have to wait forever and yet I hear of all these people getting their green cards even though they got caught for DUI's or selling drugs...

Carmen I beg to differ on this point, coming to a country because you want to, for work or for the benifits it affords is not the reason the system is so messed up. It's those same illegal immigrants and their quest to have their babies here as anchors that has us in this mess since Obama decided to give their babies from birth to 30, yes babies that are 30 years old that has been the reason for all of us waiting for our loved ones for so long. While they are all here together braking the law of a sovereign country. What infuriates me is when they protest and block streets to try to get their way. Anyway there are my two cents.

Love reading everyone's stories of how they've met I met my husband through work. It was my first real job after finishing university. We had our first 'proper' (ie non-work-related) conversation about 2.5 months after I started and started dating about 2 weeks later. 3.5 years on we were married.

I feel almost guilty but blessed when I read everyone else's stories as we've been able to be together throughout this entire journey. While the waits have been long, it's been so much easier being here with him. I can't wait to take him home with me for more than 2 weeks!

Hoping that Miss Joy will give me some good news with a case number when I call tonight! (7am Wednesday Eastern time is 9pm Wednesday night Eastern time in Australia - I spend all evening when I get home from work counting down until I can call!).

Love reading everyone's stories of how they've met

We met online - but not in a gaming site or a dating site. I lived in Hong Kong at the time, and my spouse is Australian. We were each friends with a US woman who was having surgery. She introduced us to each other via email so that we could let each other know the outcome of the surgery.

We were email friends for two years, then we each got webcams and started Skyping. I didn't want to fall in love, because, at the time, neither of our countries would have let us be together via immigration. But when we met in person in 2009, we knew we wanted to be a couple. Luckily, Australia changed its immigration laws in 2009 so that I could apply for a permanent residency visa. And then, when it looked like DOMA was going to fall, we went ahead and got married in the US. We applied for our I-130 the day after DOMA was ruled unconstitutional.

So we've been friends for 8 years, a couple for 5 years, and married for a little over one year. And we have done this across many many oceans and seas, and with many 23 hour transcontinental flights. Cathay Pacific and Korean Air have gotten a LOT of our dollars!

A record 3 minutes on hold and I spoke to Lisa who gave me our case number She was quite insistent that we wouldn't be able to log in and do anything, but she did give me the IIN and said to call back on Friday to confirm the email address they have on file.

I bought a DIY stamp last weekend and have been eyeing it off across the office the last few nights. I have now stamped just about every spare piece of paper with it so our case number is everywhere! Had to get some practice in before I get up early and stamp all the official documents in the morning...
