This might be a "dumb" question, but I don't get how NVC knows when our case has been received by them without physically opening it to know the csi number? And if they are already opening it, then why the heck wouldn't they scan at the same time.

Ugh, I am so irritated.

Because it would be a logical thing to do and would make them efficient. Why do something that might damage your reputation! :rofl: :rofl:

Just got off phone with NVC. I almost cried when the lady said your case was completed today, just waiting for interview to be scheduled. I had to ask her to repeat those magic words. And they are still scheduling for June interviews in Montreal

Before I forget, here's a picture of my cat I adopted last week! We adopted from a shelter who rescued her and her 3 kittens found under a tarp last December from the cold. Due to the freezing temperatures, she got frostbite and lost the tips of her ears. But her and her babies survived (and were later adopted). It was her turn to finally get adopted :) Her original name was Topanga, but we (or rather, I :P ) changed it to Catniss ;)

Awww it's awesome to see that you adopted a rescued cat and a mommy cat on top of that! I did the same, my cat was brought in after having babies and we decided to adopt her instead of the kittens. She is such a sweetheart :luv:

Submitting the form doesn't automatically update the spreadsheet. I manually go into the forms response and add/update folks on the spreadsheet. But, looking at the forms response sheet, there's a problem with your timeline (hint: Armenia is listed as the consulate). Fix the error, then re-submit the form with all the updates.

And what you're referring to is called the signature. Go to your settings, then the Signature tab. Input what you like.

My cat's kittens were already adopted before we even went to the shelter. But, being that kittens are extremely playful (not so fun with all the computer cables we have in our apartment), it'd be a lot of work to train them and such, so I didn't want a kitten anyways.

OMG I wonder if it would be better if you asked it be transferred to the California Service Center it would be much faster. I was at the Nebraska hell hole and OMG no way you should wait any longer. Poor baby I feel for you and will keep you in my prayers. (F)(L)(F) You should contact your Senator and have them investigate this all they do is sit on their behinds so please do have them work for you.

I did contaaact my senator a couple of times and I never heard back from them... :ranting:

We sent our I-130 on April 12, 2013. It took 11 months to be approved so I feel your pain

This whole waiting game is ridiculous. It upsets me when people judge immigrants for not doing things "the right way" and because they violate the "American Laws" people would not have to do that if they did not make make us wait almost 2 years and make us jump through hoops and pay them for this whole process. That is why there are so many immigrants in this country... And for people like us that do things the right way we have to wait forever and yet I hear of all these people getting their green cards even though they got caught for DUI's or selling drugs... :ranting:

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

This might be a "dumb" question, but I don't get how NVC knows when our case has been received by them without physically opening it to know the csi number? And if they are already opening it, then why the heck wouldn't they scan at the same time.

Ugh, I am so irritated.

My best guess is that USCIS service centers send cases in batches with separately listed Receipt Numbers in a shipping manifest, and only those numbers get logged in upon arrival at NVC.

21-MAR-2014 I-140 + PP sent to USCIS

31-MAR-2014 Petition approved

16-APR-2014 Case shipped to NVC

29-APR-2014 Case received by NVC

23-MAY-2014 Case # assigned

4-JUN-2014 IV Bill invoiced and PAID (AOS Exempt, DS-261 Waived)

6-JUN-2014 DS-260 forms submitted

10-JUN-2014 IV Docs received by NVC

13-JUN-2014 IV Docs matched to case (scanned)

30-JUL-2014 Case Complete, CC email auto-sent one week later
