I would say just include a copy of the bio page of her old and her new passport along with the Police cert. In your cover letter just explain the situation. I doubt it will be an issue. You can just have her scan and email it to you and you can print it out. It doesn' t have to be certified or anything.

Thanks for the prayers !! GOOD VIBES for you . You were approved before me. They need to get going on your file !!

That's what I was leaning towards doing, until I called the NVC and the guy said it would be a problem. <_<

So now I'm scared if I do what you said I'll get a checklist and it will delay us a month or whatever the amount of time is, even though it's pretty darn straight forward what I would be doing. If we have to get a new police certificate it will delay us by another week, instead of what I was going to originally do and send both the AOS and IV Packages together via UPS tomorrow.

You're welcome for the prayers!!! Any time! Good vibes your way as well!

It's a sad day Finland as well, joint sponsor had a freak out and will not be joint sponsoring after all. I'm so glad she decided at the last minute to ditch us... Well it took us a day to find another joint sponsor, so we should be set on that, but it will of course delay us since the new joint sponsor has the collect all the documents. And if someone asks why we didn't use our current (hopefully) joint sponsor from the start, well, it didn't even occur to us that petitioner's own mother would bail out on us. But she just did, so there :(

Petitioner's mom bailed out!? :wow: Sorry to hear that!

If you have savings, you may not need a joint sponsor, correct?

I forgot the exact amount of savings you need though.

ok, so if they say it will be a problem.... this is what I would do... its up to you

I would send the police certificate that I already have with BOTH bio pages . Send both packages together.

meanwhile, your wife is over in Poland getting another police certificate and sending it to you FEDEX and you print out another barcode page and send the new police cert and bio page with a letter of explanation. Don't wait for a checklist. . So it may not end up being a problem but if they checklist you for it, you will be one step ahead and it will be there waiting for them to review. If you don't get any other checklist items ... then you saved a few weeks.

Do what makes you feel comfortable. .

This is random, but I was wondering where everyone met their spouses? We have a huge variety of countries on this thread. I am wondering how everyone got together.. my husband was here on a tourist visa and was living with a mutual friend. I got laid off one spring and had some time on my hands so I went to hang out with my friend and there he was. We were friends for a year before we moved to BF/GF status. I met him only 4 months after he arrived in the US. He didn't speak a word of english. I used to bring him books so he could try to study english. I took him to NYC, Atlantic City, the Jersey shore for motorcross on the beach, the philadelphia Zoo, Amusement parks and countless trips to the mall. HA HA Museums and restaurants.. I could go on...

Love this question! (L)

The hubby and I know each other since we were kids but we never paid attention to each other (my aunt actually introduced his parents and his mom used to hang out with my dad when they were teenagers in Portugal). My entire family, except for my parents, live in Portugal so I would go every summer. Summer 2007 all the teens and kids in our age group began hanging out at the pool and beach and the hubs and I started chatting. I knew after an entire afternoon at the beach with him one day that I was in trouble lol. I changed my ticket and stayed the whole summer in Portugal. We basically chatted for an entire year (there was some drama in between with other females lol) and when I came back Summer of 2008 we became official. Our families were ecstatic.

We dated long distance for 5 years. He would come in the winter for a month and I would go for the entire summer. As a school teacher I have the summers off so it sort of worked lol. We got married this past summer in Portugal and about half of our guests flew from NJ to Portugal (many of them being Portuguese so it was a vacation for them). After being together for nearly 6 years long distance we are ready to finally be together for more than 9 weeks. :luv::wub:

Its a friggin sad day in Pennsylvania.... They will not accept my husbands birth cert so we can just forget June.:cry:

I am so glad I sent the certified copy last night. I will still call the supervisor tomorrow night because this is BULL !!

Lisa was not in a pleasant mood today. If I could reach through the phone... GRRRRRR

I told her I will still be calling the supervisor, she got angry and said " he will just tell you the same thing I just told you"

So Miss Lisa, you're working my nerves... you and Joy are neck -n-neck on the beotch -o-meter. :ranting:

I was nice as could be... guess she didn't like that.

So now if everyone could cross their fingers and send good vibes that they start opening the mail at a faster pace... If the computers are still down, that is preventing people from printing out their barcode cover sheets and mailing in their packages.. At least they can make good use of their time and take care of the mail that is already there. I should have sent a fluorescent fedex envelope so I could send the supervisor out to look for it !!:protest:

Maybe Lisa and Joy will get papercuts :D Penance for their rudeness!

That's a really good plan and I have no idea why I didn't think about that! Good thinking! Would you still explain it in the cover letter or just leave it because they'll get both police certificates and passport copies anyways?

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it. :)

Did they tell you that you are being checklisted?

Jack, last Friday night, looked at the file and said there would be a checklist for the PCC (even though it doesn't get sent to NVC). Kelly, today, said there was a checklist but that...."it takes several days". I had pretty much assumed it would come in the middle of the night last night.

ARGH.
