well obviously they would have to revamp the entire process. I just think having the NVC as a separate process is dumb. We should submit all required docs from the get-go and then after its all said and done... you get an interview when you get case closed.

That's how it is in Canada... my husband immigrated here first, and all paperwork went in at once.

We were notified when I was accepted as the sponsor, and then we were notified when he could take the medical exam (which he could right here in the city at Immigration examiners), and then we received approval and waited about 3 months for the interview.

At least the interview was again right here in the city instead of somewhere way across the country!

No phone calls to make, no case numbers to chase, straight-forward and easy. AND no minimum income requirements to sponsor someone! So no joint sponsors and tax information etc to provide.

"If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you."

"Life is not what it's supposed to be. It's what it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference."

Its a friggin sad day in Pennsylvania.... They will not accept my husbands birth cert so we can just forget June.:cry:

I am so glad I sent the certified copy last night. I will still call the supervisor tomorrow night because this is BULL !!

Lisa was not in a pleasant mood today. If I could reach through the phone... GRRRRRR

I told her I will still be calling the supervisor, she got angry and said " he will just tell you the same thing I just told you"

So Miss Lisa, you're working my nerves... you and Joy are neck -n-neck on the beotch -o-meter. :ranting:

I was nice as could be... guess she didn't like that.

So now if everyone could cross their fingers and send good vibes that they start opening the mail at a faster pace... If the computers are still down, that is preventing people from printing out their barcode cover sheets and mailing in their packages.. At least they can make good use of their time and take care of the mail that is already there. I should have sent a fluorescent fedex envelope so I could send the supervisor out to look for it !!:protest:

Next two questions in what seems like a never ending stream of questions:

1. My wife's translations that she gets from the same translator every time are all stapled together. Will this pose a problem with the NVC and will we likely have to send in new, unstapled translations (which we'll have to specifically request, as they don't do this as a matter of protocol at her translator's office)?

2. Did anyone else send in additional evidence of a bonafide marital relationship with their NVC packet? And if so, how much? Is this only needed at high fraud embassies? I'm sending a few more legal documents that have my wife's name on them, our most recent joint bank account statements (checking and savings), our daughter's Polish, translated birth certificate and passport stamps/ticket stubs to visit her since I submitted the I-130 last September. What does everyone think?

Thank you very much again.

Oh wow!!!! It's been 13 days now since i paid my IV fee and yet still IN PROCESS!! I just got of the phone from NVC talk to the guy (forgot his name) and he said their still having some problem with the website and he doesn't know when its gonna be fixed. He asked me to send an email with a screenshot of my bank accnt which I told him I already did on May 1,2014.. He said they're gonna send me email when its its gonna be fixed! WHat the ####... I just wanna get done with my DS260..

But at least on a lighter note, I asked him about my AoS package which they received on apr. 29th, he said it is being reviewed together with my IV docs which they got yesterday.. I'm hoping for no checklist and to be done with my DS260... Please NVC be nice to me...

They told me the same thing. These people do what they want, when they want, IF they want. They told me that the "computer wizards" know about it but they can give no clue when it might be fixed. No wonder we're getting our a$$es kicked economically across the globe. Dumb, lazy, and 0 conscientiousness concerning their jobs.

We were terrified he was going to get denied entry and have his bags searched as he had our champagne flutes in his carry-on bag with our wedding date etched on them LOL

They asked who he was visiting and he said "family". He was good to go. Chicago POE has been very friendly with me ole pot & pan (a lil cockney rhyming slang for everyone LOL)!

I just read what you said about Morrissey in your blog, you can't insult the Mozza we are no longer VJ friends

some posts cause my stress, some people are trying to be ahead of the game

examples:

sending more docs than NVC requires

predicting their checklists (blank boxes etc.)

.................

.................

it makes me feel that i missed something, forgot about something, something will go wrong

pls! be less stressed and more positive ... and PATIENT!

This is random, but I was wondering where everyone met their spouses? We have a huge variety of countries on this thread. I am wondering how everyone got together.. my husband was here on a tourist visa and was living with a mutual friend. I got laid off one spring and had some time on my hands so I went to hang out with my friend and there he was. We were friends for a year before we moved to BF/GF status. I met him only 4 months after he arrived in the US. He didn't speak a word of english. I used to bring him books so he could try to study english. I took him to NYC, Atlantic City, the Jersey shore for motorcross on the beach, the philadelphia Zoo, Amusement parks and countless trips to the mall. HA HA Museums and restaurants.. I could go on...

I manufacture jewelry and during my many trips to Asia I would stay at the same Hotels.

My wife was a manager at one of the hotels that I frequented. I got to know all the staff

and from time to time we would all go out for the evening. It was during this time that

I got know her. I spent time with her each time I would return and we were married in

2008. In 2011 my son Andrew was born and that is when we started talking about

living in the USA one day. Flash forward to 2014 and I am two weeks from getting on the

plane to go get them and bring them back with me to America. (L)(F):D

I'm so sorry LoveMyTico, I thought they would accept it and you would get your case complete! Sending as many positive vibes as possible your way!

Thanks !!

I am about to travel to the NVC and search for my package and hand deliver it to the reviewer. I am prepared to pay for them to look at it RIGHT NOW !!!!

When I told "Lisa Girl" that I had already sent a "certified copy" and it was received today. she snapped at me and said " a copy is not what they are looking for" and so my response was... " well then what else can I send?. There is no other option in Costa Rica" she says " it better have a stamp from the civil registry" and me again " yes, of course it does, just like the other one you already have !!!!!!!!!!"
