OMG I wonder if it would be better if you asked it be transferred to the California Service Center it would be much faster. I was at the Nebraska hell hole and OMG no way you should wait any longer. Poor baby I feel for you and will keep you in my prayers. (F)(L)(F) You should contact your Senator and have them investigate this all they do is sit on their behinds so please do have them work for you.

I think she is approved already.... and is at the NVC... correct?

I was checking out the case complete/interview spread sheet yesterday... Unfortunately there aren't many Costa Rica files. Have you looked at the spreadsheet to try and get an idea of how fast an interview might be scheduled based on other filers?

I think ( maybe its just me) that the interview should be scheduled at the same time the case complete happens. Why does everything have to be such a friggin process? one step.... wait.... second step.... wait more.....checklist.... delay and more waiting.....case complete.... wait some more....

I also think that the NVC stage should be thrown out. Why can't all of this happen at the USCIS stage or just combine all of this mess?

Hello Soloenta! Thank you for your prayers. :) I am neither my case barely got transfered from Nebraska Service Center to NVC om 4/26/14 and arrived at NVC 4/11/14 I have not even been assigned a visa # yet or an IIN # :cry: I sent my I-130 3/20/13 so its been 14 months since I started this process.

We sent our I-130 on April 12, 2013. It took 11 months to be approved so I feel your pain

I did receive a checklist that was scanned in on April 18th and reviewed on May 5th. They said they wanted some additional information but we can bring that to the consulate and completed to the case!!

We sent our I-130 on April 12, 2013. It took 11 months to be approved so I feel your pain

I was checking out the case complete/interview spread sheet yesterday... Unfortunately there aren't many Costa Rica files. Have you looked at the spreadsheet to try and get an idea of how fast an interview might be scheduled based on other filers?

I think ( maybe its just me) that the interview should be scheduled at the same time the case complete happens. Why does everything have to be such a friggin process? one step.... wait.... second step.... wait more.....checklist.... delay and more waiting.....case complete.... wait some more....

I also think that the NVC stage should be thrown out. Why can't all of this happen at the USCIS stage or just combine all of this mess?

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

May 14 - Checklist for Police certificate came via email.

May 15 - Package delivered per mail tracking.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

May 30 - Assigned Interview date!

July 8 - Interview in Montreal!! APPROVED!!!!!!!! July 10 - Visa package and passport in hand!! July 23 - POE!!
