Hello May!

So I have a quick update.

When I called on the 21st of April, I was told I was still in processing. When I called on the 23rd of April, the operator told me my case was complete as of the 15th of April. That's weird, but whatever I thought.

So I hadn't received any confirmation e-mail by the 29th of April so I called the NVC. The operator told me this time that he didn't have any information in the system about a case complete on the 15th, but that he did see I received case complete of the 24th. He said it was still odd that I hadn't received any e-mail confirmation and that he would put in an inquiry to a supervisor to look into it and to send me that mail out.

Well, the next e-mail I got was to send my wife her interview date on the 10th of June.

So, 15th or 24th of April doesn't really matter to me. Just happy to get an early June date.

Good luck to everybody at the NVC and keep calling to keep them on their toes!

The paralegal is arguing with me about this issue, she said the B-2 is a visitor visa, now I don't know what to say. Did you answer no for your DS-260 or anyone else has any input? thanks I am going nuts here....

I answered no because I have never been formally issued a visa. They "consider it" a B2 visa but you did not apply or obtain an actual visa. I answered no and obviously I've been to the USA since I had the last 5 visits on the DS-260

No.

I think B2 is a visa as on B2 visa you were allowed entry into for business purposes. If you have dates available then you may want to add this in your DS 260. I had a TN visa but did not remember the visa number. I added TN visa info in my DS260 and had no problems.

Hey guys - on the ds-260, if my wife maintains a permanent and previous address, which one would she list as a her present address and would we need to add these to the Previous Address?

Thanks!

Sorry I meant to say permanent and temporary address

Hi, my husband called NVC, apparently a checklist is on its way. It concerns the joint-sponsor's passport. I am 100% sure I put a copy of the biographical page in the AOS package. I am so upset not to understand why we will receive this checklist. Do you think it's because I printed it in black and white?? The joint-sponsor has a dark skin, so the photo is dark. Could it be for this reason? Is there any way we can ask a supervisor to make sure the passport copy is not in the package? I am so sad, it's been more than a year and I am sick of the whole process. Any input would be much appreciated.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Should we express mail the passport copy with the initial barcode sheet and send it to "Attn.: DR" ??

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

MsGoyave, it's really hard to know exactly what is wrong with the passport page - whether it is missing or, as you suggested, too dark for them to read easily. Are you set up to receive emails from them? I know that waiting two more days is killing - but until you know exactly what is wrong, you might be agonizing for the wrong reason.

I'm supposedly getting a checklist, too, but nothing has come through! I'm calling tomorrow to ask about it.

Just updating- I was approved 4/11 for both the I-130 petition and the I-129F.

Got a case number Friday from NVC and today called again to double check it was for the I-130. The lady confirmed that it was in fact for the I-130 and the I-129F (K3) will be administratively closed. I also got the Invoice Identification Number today too!! It seems quick to me, but hey, I'll take it!

Just reporting back because some were wondering whether they gave me a K3 case number- but no, it is for the 1-130 petition. Either they are working fast at NVC or it has something to do with filing both petitions? Who knows!
