Can I send IV packed before filling the DS 260...? if yes can you please guide me which documents I need to submit to NVC by IV packet. Why I am asking now is i am going to send petitioner (USC living in India) I864 paperwork to US(to Joint sponsor), so i will include my IV documents for advance submitting instead of sending from India. and can i include domicile for my petitioner living in foreign country??

Please help on this.. :)

Thanks in advance.

My Joint Sponsor may have fallen through for us. I may need to use assets now. But am I able to do this if I am currently living overseas and working overseas?

Are your assets in the US or in Australia? I think if they are in the US it shouldn't be a problem. If they are in Australia, then it can be trickier. I'm not an expert but this website has some basic info that might help: http://www.***removed***/affidavit-of-support/using-assets-meet-income-requirements.html

Good luck!

There should not be any issues in sending IV packet before filling DS 260 as NVC guys will review both at the same time only.

I sent below docs in IV packet (i followed both NVC website and saylin's wiki) :

• IV Coversheet (with barcode)
• Two (2) passport-size photographs of beneficiary (NVC Case Number, beneficiary’s full name, and date of birth are written on back of both)
• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of the biographic data page and full address page of beneficiary’s passport
• Photocopy of page of beneficiary’s passport showing PCC issued for USA
• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of the biographic data page and full address page of beneficiary’s old (cancelled) passport
• Original birth certificate of beneficiary (in native language)
• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of original birth certificate of beneficiary (in native language )
• Original translation of birth certificate of beneficiary
• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of Original translation of birth certificate of beneficiary
• Original marriage certificate
• Photocopy and Attested photocopy of original marriage certificate
• Original police clearance certificate (INDIA)
• Photocopy and Attested Photocopy of original police clearance certificate (INDIA)
• Original police clearance certificate (3rd country). This was issued on OLD passport as new passport has been issued recently. (Old passport documents attached).
• Photocopy and Attested photocopy of original police clearance certificate (3rd Country)

I sent in my corrected I-864 form. They received it on april 17th. Monday will be 12 working days for me. Still no change. Hope something happens this week.

HOW SOON DO THEY REPLY TO A CHECKLIST? I emailed them about my consulate change on 31st march and i got no reply I saw a person who emailed on first april getting a reply.

Anyway reese at nvc asked me to send A REQUEST FOR CONSULATE CHANGE AND PASSPORT SCAN WITH THE CHECKLIST SO WE DID.

DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD CHNAGE THE CONSULATE ON THE BASIS OF THAT PAPER I SENT IN WITH THE CHECKLIST? Anyoneeeee????

some nice tragedy with me is also that, i was in some other country for 1.5 years, and i got PCC from that country last december which their embassy issued on my old passport number (same passport which was valid during my tenure in that country).

Now i have a new passport number, and a pcc from India on the same.

SO like everyone else, i was worried NVC guys should not create a mess again for this, so in packet IV i sent them my old passport copies as well (so that they can co-relate that i have PCC from other country on my old passport number), and then on the cover letter i mentioned that i will produce both passports (old one carries a cancelled stamp now).

Just curious, they should not issue me a checklist for this now...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

The NVC does not care.

I'm not saying that the NVC was the problem.

As long as you're under Mumbai, they would let you take it to the interview.

My problem is different - I'm being hassled by these useless bureaucrats who don't understand that an Indian National can marry a foreigner and then not need an Indian marriage certificate.

The government that they work for has signed a treaty.

Apparently they dont care about that treaty.

Just realized that my husband's Police Report is only valid through mid May because he picked it up in February. So if they don't give us a Case Complete by then or at least review our IV package before then and accept it, we are screwed.

My hubby's expired March 23rd and we got our case complete April 18th. You will just need to get another one and take it to the interview.

Wow... 97 and 18? Not to appear judgmental but that is a really big age gap. I think if we're genuine we should not have too much to worry about. At least I hope that's the case. After all, what do they gain from keeping genuinely married couples apart? Since we do see many fraudulent people on here filing for a 'spouse' I guess they're just being careful, sometimes over careful.

Let's hope and pray for the best. Nothing is impossible with God. You'll do just great at the interview. Don't worry :)

Awww thank you sweet heart and yes way big of a age gap but he got her the Visa quickly heheheeee. I'm just paranoid from reading so much here and it's why I stayed away for a very, very long time.

I agree, everything is possible with God and I have faith that we will get a great counselor and we have some heavy duty proof we are the real thing. I had to ask a friend to write a letter is all because I do hate having pictures taken of me. I never look the way I really am hahaaa even my husband said hey that doesn't look like you at all. Besides very and I mean very little pictures the rest is pure gold. Much luck to you my friend in your interview I know all will be well. All Embassies are so different and I'll be praying for you as I pray for all who needs it hear. (F)(L)(F)

Awwww well to bad and never heard of Club 33 and I've lived here all my life pretty much minus a few months. When I win ;) the lotto I'll send tickets for all of you to come to Ca and have fun at Disneyland. :D(F)(L)(F)

I read about it online. :dancing: I think I would die of old age before they even got to my name on the waiting list!

Oh, oh, would I be one of those people? I've been to Disney World dozens and dozens of times (I'm actually going back this September for the first time in 7 years), but never been to Disneyland! I've actually never been to Cali either

I love Disney. First time I went was just after me and my wife were engaged. (2 days after Christmas). I was 24 and I felt like a big kid!!

Because all Embassies do what ever the heck they want because they can. Seems to me they are above the law! I truly feel for you and maybe a call to NVC will hurry the process it can't hurt.

A little confused, were are you in the Visa process at NVC waiting for an interview or you already had your interview waiting for Visa?

Much luck to you, I'll be praying for you and yours.
