So, my wife had her consulate interview this morning.... and was APPROVED!!!!!!! HOOORAY!!!!

Uff da what a relief.

Once you do that, you won't find it so funny.

What can I say, at the Egyptian Embassy they insult the petitioner to the beneficiary laughing at pictures and saying things like "why don't you marry a pretty Egyptian" saying your wife is so fuggly you should just marry one of your own. Anything to agitate and infuriate the husband. Haven't heard this happening to the wives or female fiances. It's really shameful the way they treat people just horrible.

The PSK MADE ME apply for a reissue because my wife's name was not on the stupid thing.

They said and i quote "if you want sponsorship from wife and PCC, name has to be there"

i went through same process as well...

but while reissuing passport they took just 5 days, as the officer marked it as 'police verfication' not required....

but then while issuing PCC those idiotic guys said now 'police verification' is needed.... so it took 15 more days...

don't worry, if things went smooth, u will get ur passport even after police verification in a months time....

make sure to follow ur police station and as soon as they receive ur verification, go there, give them 500 bucks :) lol.... and it will be done....

they take most of the time in verification only....

There's a method of filing an after-visa complaint with the Bureau of Consular Affairs. If this happens to you, write down every word that was said and every other detail, and hang onto it for the appropriate time.

So him having his bank account still active in the US and a car in the US not count as him keeping it as his principal address? He is only living with me just under 2 years, he doesn't work here and has to real ties to my country.

May I ask, to live there for 2 years, does he require some sort of 'status'? like a permanent resident status?

I don't think a bank account and a car in the US constitute domicile, but I'm not the expert. My husband achieved Canadian Permanent resident status but still had a US bank account and his car registration/permit, and I don't believe that would be considered US domicile if he lived here at the time. He moved back to the US when he filed our I-130 petition, and so has active domicile there, with bank accounts, bills, address/home, employment, voting registration, health insurance, etc.

It looks like "Iam What Iam" is just another internet troll. There's at least one on every site. It appears that they just created their account today at 5:16pm so I wouldn't pay them any attention.

I am pretty much in the same boat as your spouse. In my case, I am the U.S. Citizen, living in Mexico with my spouse. I don't work here, have been "living" here for about 3.5 years, and I have no income from the U.S. I just plan on sending in bank account statements, credit card statements, current driver's license, voter registration card, and my TEMPORARY tourist card to be here in Mexico, all showing that I still have my permanent address (my parents' address) in the U.S. I am hoping that should be enough to show that I maintained a U.S. domicile.

My husband has a stamp.4 visa. It just allows him to reside here until he goes home. He has to renew it every year. He's not been permitted to work.

I'm so bummed our evidence might not be enough. We really dont want to be separated again. Are all consulates strict on the domicile issue?

Just realized that my husband's Police Report is only valid through mid May because he picked it up in February. So if they don't give us a Case Complete by then or at least review our IV package before then and accept it, we are screwed.

Can't he get another one today or start the process to get one?

Will do thank you very much but what if they put us on AP for ever, they do that. Would complaining hurt or help us?
