God bless you my good man.

Im in a state of emotional flux about this.

The PSK wants me to add wife's name to the passport - which is not a problem except our marriage was not registered in India.

My PSK head officer will not apparently accept the rules for hague convention signatories -- so we're going through a lot of red tape.

On top of that I have only had passports issued in the US.

I no longer live there.

So they want me to change my address as well.

All of this is is to get a PCC - which I have been told as of today - wont come along for another 60 days.

:(

Not sure what to do now but wait.

I hope I can reschedule with the Mumbai people.

At least they'd understand.

How is it that after doing everything right, that I am so disillusioned.

Sorry to hear this. My wife was able to get PCC from PSK without including my name on her passport.

Hopefully you can get out of this jam soon.

I have a question...when you call the NVC during the day, are you ever passed from the Customer Service people to Adjudicator people?

I called last Friday night, after 5 p.m. Agent Jack was lovely, but he had to put me on hold to ask someone else how to interpret certain "codes" he found on our file. He seemed to indicate that we'd be getting a checklist (our State in Australia sends the PCC directly to the Consulate, so, of course, it is missing). He also seemed to indicate we'd need two PCCs - one from Queensland and one from Victoria - which is totally incorrect. Something he said sounded like they were waiting for Sydney to tell them what to do.

We have gotten no checklist - so I'm confused.

Do you think it is worth it to try to call on Monday (after Sydney might have replied to any questions) and see if I can get any better info? ( I'll know if Joy or Arthur answers that I'll be toast.) Can the customer service people really see what is happening on the files, or are they limited to certain fields or "codes"? If we don't get answers within the next 3 days or so, we can kiss a June interview goodbye...

Thoughts from those of you who are daytime callers? Any wisdom from Aussies from NSW or QLD who might have had a similar experience?

Sukie

I just found out that you can ask to speak to a supervisor. I actually was able to speak to one the other night. He said he would "personally" get my physical file and comb through it to re-review the birth Cert. I was told to call back Wednesday night and ask for him. So if this works out, it sure beats waiting 30 days for a random supervisor.. Who knows....

The daytime operators are snootier than the night shift for sure. I have had really nice people every time I call at night. And yes, Monday is horrible because Reese, Joy and Arthur are working.

Who are you to lecture us whether or not middle loading isuseful or not ..

In countries in south east asia, its a different ball game.. the COs make up their minds even before they get to the interview.

We are trying to help him not hurt him.

Please dont sit and lecture me about what is or isnt good for US consulate interviews.

I have been to 4 different visa interviews and have landed 4 different successful visa interviews.

I also had a green card for four years once.

The interview in person is of course, important - but middle-loading makes their life ten times easier.

You don't know about south east asian embassies - almost all countries where there is a very high risk of visa fraud.

The more documentation AT hand for the vice-consul who approves IV petitions separately from NIV petitions - the BETTER IT IS FOR THE CASE.

The interview in person makes sure everything entered on form DS-260 is accurate and that the applicant is aware and legit.

AND WHO THE HECK ON EARTH TOLD YOU to sit here and tell the rest of us what to do ?

Do you understand the difference between a low-risk consulate in South/central america and consulates like GUZ and DEL ?

It never hurts, just so YOU KNOW, to provide the consulate with strong concrete evidence of an ongoing relationship.

This is my first post and I am with you..

I am reading NVC long time.

You other guys Stop now..

You are Not NVC Boss.

Re-posting my question.

Hello i guys i have question regarding Police certificate from Pakistan. Some are saying its required and some are saying its not required. http://travel.state.gov/content website says its not required, yet some people gotten checklist due to not sending it. ISB embassy says its required, so i am little confused on what i should do. Not send it to NVC and have my wife take it to embassy whenever her interview happens?

2nd. Foreign office attested, should the police certificate be attested by foreign office? Currently its in English, typed with police signature and my wife picture on it.

Hey guys - Did you write your case number on the top right hand corner of every document you sent in with your IV Packet?

Thanks!

I wrote the case number on the right top corner of every page, with pencil. That way, I can erase it later if I need to :)

I even numbered the pages (with pencil as well) on the bottom right corner of every page.I did this in case that they mix up everything xD

For example, on tax transcripts, I wrote: Petitioner 2013 page 1, or joint sponsor 2012 page 1...
