I still can not do anything else after I did my ds261 2 weeks a go, my case was assigned April 18, but still can not pay my AOS fee, any one knows why taking so long??

Hey guys! Hoping someone can help me out with this. So I just passed my naturalization interview now waiting to get my oath ceremony letter and my naturalization certificate! Obviously this will probably take another month ;(. I want to file for my husbands I-130 as soon as possible and do not want to wait another few weeks for my passport. Is it okay if I can just file for the I-130 with my naturalization certificate? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

You are in the NVC thread instead of the I-130 thread, but I can answer your question as it's in the I-130 instructions that you can use the naturalization certificate. See here:

I have a question on the I-864 Form Part 6 (Sponsor's income and employment) Number 5, where it asks for the current individual annual income, what should we put here the annual income for 2013 or the income accumulated from Jan-April 2014?

Is not putting NA on all the blank spaces will get us a checklist? Even if on the instructions it says leave it blank?

That should be your anticipated income for the entire year 2014.

The topic of blanks comes up a lot since the instructions tell us to leave blanks, yet some people have received checklists for blanks, especially in the 'mailing address if different from above' sorts of questions. I think many others here have chosen to fill in the blanks with 'none' or 'N/A'.

Does anyone know if my husband, who is a Serbian citizen and has no SS# or AR# and is currently not working needs to file an I-864a? I am completely confused with that. I figured I would just do it anyway to avoid a checklist but they are asking for IRS tax returns (which he obviously doesn't have) and there's no other option. I already don't meet the requirements, which is why my father is the joint sponsor. What the heck do I do with Part 6 of my I-864? Leave him out of it or include him and file the I-864a? Lord help me.

Are you intending to use your husband's income? I understand that it must be US income that counts, and he doesn't have that if I understand your statement correctly. Part 6 is asking about others in your household who are contributing to your income on the I-864. I don't believe he should fill anything out.

But your father definitely fills one I-864.

Also, when filling out the I-864 in part 4 where it asks country of domicile, should she put Canada as that's what it is currently, or should she put something like Canada, but USA upon approval and entry and of course provide letters showing intent to re-establish her domicile there?

She will need to put US is her country of domicile. Read Saylin's Wiki. It's all there. Read it a couple of hundred times. It will make sense and make you feel more at ease!

She will need to put USA as her domicile and then include documentation to the effect that she intends to reestablish domicile. If you read Saylins wiki in the first post there are some really good suggestions as to what she can provide to prove it. You could also try a general VJ search for 'Domicile' to get more ideas

I can not wait for today to be over. Can't wait for Monday. Since we started this whole process I now despise weekends. Maybe once this is all said and done I will be able to enjoy them again. Hopefully some action from NVC this week. Come on Case #'s and CASE completes. Everyone is patiently waiting. Good luck to everyone.

Agree. I became a clock watcher again after we were approved from our I-130 and finally got a case #. Hoping our AOS is invoiced tomorrow. Hope Monday is a productive day in the NVC tomorrow!

Oh thank you! It didn't seem like he would need to fill it out but I am just confused. Yes, I am filing an I-864 but don't meet requirements. My father is filing an I-864 because he is the only joint sponsor. And my husband is the immigrant and does not have a job at this time (and he has never had US income). Our household is only my husband and myself. Thank you so much!

I second that ! Weekends suck !

Tomorrow I will receive the "certified copy" of my husband's birth certificate and then when I get home form work I will high-tail it over to the Fed-ex office and mail it out to the NVC. Hopefully they will review the corrected AOS that has been sitting there since April 18th. Hopefully they will re-review the case and remove the police cert requirement and they will open their eyes and see the original birth cert staring them in the face. Not holding my breath....

I have a question...when you call the NVC during the day, are you ever passed from the Customer Service people to Adjudicator people?

I called last Friday night, after 5 p.m. Agent Jack was lovely, but he had to put me on hold to ask someone else how to interpret certain "codes" he found on our file. He seemed to indicate that we'd be getting a checklist (our State in Australia sends the PCC directly to the Consulate, so, of course, it is missing). He also seemed to indicate we'd need two PCCs - one from Queensland and one from Victoria - which is totally incorrect. Something he said sounded like they were waiting for Sydney to tell them what to do.

We have gotten no checklist - so I'm confused.

Do you think it is worth it to try to call on Monday (after Sydney might have replied to any questions) and see if I can get any better info? ( I'll know if Joy or Arthur answers that I'll be toast.) Can the customer service people really see what is happening on the files, or are they limited to certain fields or "codes"? If we don't get answers within the next 3 days or so, we can kiss a June interview goodbye...

Thoughts from those of you who are daytime callers? Any wisdom from Aussies from NSW or QLD who might have had a similar experience?

Glad to see some movement in the process finally . I just paid the aos fee 88 and the iv fee 230 and now am trying to complete packets to mail in. I am just looking for some insight to how I am organizing my packet. I have reviewed the NVC guide and since I am the only one being considered for my beneficiary I plan on filing i1864ez. I was also going to include a balance letter from my retirement fund, a bank verification letter and possibly a letter showing my husband as beneficiary on an investment account and a letter from theworknumber.com site which has income verification info for my employment specifically fir immigration purposes. I plan on supplementing the packet with these documents and will have the required tax transcripts and so on. Do you think this is overkill or should I give what I have to prove I can support him and I.

Yes it is a real screen shot that I took today. I had heard from another member that this was the case and now I can confirm that

once your case is in transit to the consulate that your DS-260 status in CEAC will change to On File At Post.....

80% of what you include should be recent (since the i-130). the rest can be older.

I'm sure you threw in a ton of evidence with the i-130.

All that evidence (including the actual approved i-130 petition) will travel with the IV and AOS packets AND this new evidence that you're including - in that one big DHL packet.

So, it makes sense to only emphasise new salient evidence - to demonstrate an ONGOING bona fide relationship .

The key there is ONGOING.

With the additional evidence, did you include a photocopy? Because if I include a photocopy of every additional document i send in my IV package, it probably wouldn't even fit into an envelope LOL!!
