YES YES YES YES !!

DO it !

DO not listen to those on here who do not know what they're talking about.

You are doing something called "middle-loading". This is good practice

Your evidence WILL have to be reviewed by the CO prior to the interview and will have a good POSITIVE IMPACT on the application.

If there's any new evidence that's new (since the i-130) , put that on top of all other evidence.

Did you only do include evidence since submission of I-130 or from the beginning of the relationship?

80% of what you include should be recent (since the i-130). the rest can be older.

I'm sure you threw in a ton of evidence with the i-130.

All that evidence (including the actual approved i-130 petition) will travel with the IV and AOS packets AND this new evidence that you're including - in that one big DHL packet.

So, it makes sense to only emphasise new salient evidence - to demonstrate an ONGOING bona fide relationship .

The key there is ONGOING.

excuse me but the NVC is only for processing the VISA .. they don't give a rats A$$ about your ''middle loading'' you are adding many items that they have to weed through while looking for the required docs. Take all your ''middle loading'' in a bag to your interview I have already done this before... so don't talk about others and say they don't know what they are talking about.

and seriously.... do you honestly think the embassy makes up their mind before you even step foot in the building??? Why have an interview then???

I've been through an interview, They looked through my pictures. Asked a few questions. Never asked for joint accounts or naming beneficiaries . Only asked for my current tax returns, They asked us each to write out how we met , dating and relationship details. that was it.

Have you been to an interview???

Have you been to an interview???

Who are you to lecture us whether or not middle loading isuseful or not ..

In countries in south east asia, its a different ball game.. the COs make up their minds even before they get to the interview.

We are trying to help him not hurt him.

Please dont sit and lecture me about what is or isnt good for US consulate interviews.

I have been to 4 different visa interviews and have landed 4 different successful visa interviews.

I also had a green card for four years once.

The interview in person is of course, important - but middle-loading makes their life ten times easier.

You don't know about south east asian embassies - almost all countries where there is a very high risk of visa fraud.

The more documentation AT hand for the vice-consul who approves IV petitions separately from NIV petitions - the BETTER IT IS FOR THE CASE.

The interview in person makes sure everything entered on form DS-260 is accurate and that the applicant is aware and legit.

AND WHO THE HECK ON EARTH TOLD YOU to sit here and tell the rest of us what to do ?

Do you understand the difference between a low-risk consulate in South/central america and consulates like GUZ and DEL ?

It never hurts, just so YOU KNOW, to provide the consulate with strong concrete evidence of an ongoing relationship.

Thanks jsumner86!

Also, when filling out the I-864 in part 4 where it asks country of domicile, should she put Canada as that's what it is currently, or should she put something like Canada, but USA upon approval and entry and of course provide letters showing intent to re-establish her domicile there?

Thanks again!

She will need to put USA as her domicile and then include documentation to the effect that she intends to reestablish domicile. If you read Saylins wiki in the first post there are some really good suggestions as to what she can provide to prove it. You could also try a general VJ search for 'Domicile' to get more ideas :) Edited by meehan

Guys on a more serious note I miss calling NVC. And this makes me wonder :goofy:

But I made them a promise that if they gave us an interview in June I will not call them again.:rofl:

I stand by my post... NVC is for visa processing only. The USCIS asks for proof of a relationship and the embassy might want to see more proof but the NVC is only interested in processing your visa.

If you send all the ''middle loading'' you are just making their job more difficult by making them page through numerous papers to get to the documents they require, (possibly a reason why things get over looked or lost)

and don't worry, I am not insulted. I laughed out loud especially since you only joined VJ on April 22nd of this year....

I was not the one who was insulted personally.

It is the method here that concerns me, not the information...

You could have simply stated that you disagreed with the other poster, rather than being offensive and stating what you did.

As indeed, you were not the one who was insulted personally, but you did insult someone else first which aggravated a response.

A little consideration goes a long way

Would you also adjust your sidebar information, as it's clearly incorrect... there is no Seattle in Connecticut, and your local office couldn't possibly be in Ohio, thank you :P

DUDE, get your panties out of a bunch.... do whatever you feel like... If you feel like you want to load up your IV package;..... GO FOR IT.. but its not required. I suppose you are nervous... so if that makes things better .. cool.

I had a conversation with an NVC operator who told me things get lost and overlooked way more than we could possibly imagine. I for one don't want to send anything that is not required.

and YES, it could be a reason ( notice I said ''possibly'' in my previous post?) nobody knows the real reason.....
