Thank you for replying Yup, I heard you get an automatic extension as well, but we filed for extension anyways, since it's more likely to be October than August when we can finally file taxes. So in all likelihood we won't have 2013 transcripts even for the interview. The embassy at least should understand this, hopefully

We decided to now add 2013 $0, 2012 $0 and 2011 0$ for part 6. and hope that the letter for 2013 explains it well enough. We attached 2010 tax transcript just in case they do want the info for that year as well. We'll see what kind of checklists we get, if we get them... fingers crossed we won't!

We did the same and our AOS was accepted without a checklist, we're overseas filers too. So you should be fine.

I'm pretty sure it's a false one and would like to share it here for confirmation on that...I think it means the AOS has been reviewed and accepted as it was sent to my husband, the petitioner. or does it mean the DS260 was reviewed and accepted?:

The only confusing part for me is it's called (Checklist Cover Letter)...does that show up on everyone's checklist? see bottom of post for copy of page 2 of this checklist letter.

Hi all,

We still didn't receive IV fee bill and we can't pay. I called to many times, last time in Tuesday, Alexis i think checked with supervisor and she said it will be shortly. I don't know what to do any more. It's been 27 business days.

Dear friend, sorry I've been in Brussels for 3 weeks. What I got today is a yellow triangle instead of lock sign. I was waiting for 32 business day till now for IV fee, calling every other day. So I hope it's a good sign and I can pay this fee during the day

Need to submit 2013 income tax return and indicate 2013 as the most recent year on the form, with the corresponding income amount listed on the tax return.

Thanx, we realized it. In time we send the documents tax was still not ready so we send W7 and 1040a, so they want the tax now... ok it will not delay us because we received IV bill and paid IV fee yesterday so we'll send the documents during next week.

We received our case # Feb. 28, 2014 (Friday) and our lawyer paid both AOS and IV on March 3, 2013 (Monday).

we got our case number, but the other iin number was not ready and they said i had to call the next day.. they paid them both at once.

It took ages for one of the payments to register as paid. -- ages as in a few days.. felt like ages lol

i got the same one . so i called NVC and they said just discard it. it sent because my AOS is accepted.

for DS 260, i am not sure . i called NVC 2 times and they both said they will review DS 260 when they review IV package..

so finger crossed.......

to get CC very soon hopefully next wee friday...

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what a K3 case number would look like vs. a CR1/IR1 case number?

I filed both petitions, both were approved, yesterday called NVC and gave them the USCIS number from the approved 1-130 petition and was given an NVC case number that looked like this: CRO2014621XXX

I typed this number into this link https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== under "Immigrant Visa" and it accepted it, so I am 99.9% sure this is for the CR1/IR1 and not the K3, but just thought I'd ask to triple check because someone on another thread was wondering if it could be for the K3 as I received the case number pretty fast.

All cases get assigned the same format at NVC, whether it's K3 or IR-1/CR-1.

It starts with the three letter embassy code (CRO is Cairo in your case), the next four numbers are the year the case number was assigned (2014 in your case), the next three numbers are the Julian date it was assigned plus 500 (that case number was assigned on May 1st), then the last 3 digits is the sequence in which it was assigned that day at NVC (so, for example, if your last 3 numbers are 013, then your case was the 13th going through that embassy that got assigned a case number that day).

both of my files were received on April 1st. Assigned case numbers the same day. K3 was closed 2 days later . The k3 is a waste.

OK, so what I am asking is did the case numbers look the same as far as format for the CR1/IR1 and the K3? Here is what I have. CRO2014621XXX . Last time I called they said they would close out the K3 if they received it the same time as the CR1/IR1, so I'm like 99.9% sure the NVC number is for the immigrant visa. It seems it's for the CR1/IR1 because it accepts it and brings up the case when I enter it into here: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw==

Am I correct to think that if the number was for the K3 that it would not come up as "Immigrant Visa" because K3 is not an immigrant visa?
