Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what a K3 case number would look like vs. a CR1/IR1 case number?

I filed both petitions, both were approved, yesterday called NVC and gave them the USCIS number from the approved 1-130 petition and was given an NVC case number that looked like this: CRO2014621XXX

I typed this number into this link https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=o/iS8zDpeAKjMWCuebHqOw== under "Immigrant Visa" and it accepted it, so I am 99.9% sure this is for the CR1/IR1 and not the K3, but just thought I'd ask to triple check because someone on another thread was wondering if it could be for the K3 as I received the case number pretty fast.

Lovemytico got a K3 case # the day NVC received it, but they cancelled it out due to her having an I-130, but she was given the case # for the I-130 after that.

We haven't been able to file taxes for 2013, since we won't get the corrected Finnish tax info until August the earliest. We applied for extension, just like the two last years.

For I-864, Part 6, should we still write info on 2013, since we know it's going to be $0 (all foreign income, total income has been $0 for last two years anyways)? Or should we just list 2012, 2011 and 2010?

We already wrote a letter explaining why transcript 2013 is missing and a copy of extension filed.

Happy Birthday! :)

Thank you! :)

I read somewhere on the IRS website that if you're abroad, you automatically get a two month extension on your taxes? Not quite sure how accurate it is. But you should be fine as long you take 2013 to the interview with you. Just include the extension and letter of explanation of the extension. I think the 2013 should be what your income was, but current income would be $0.00 since it's foreign income and it will not continue after you go back to the states. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

Sooo, checklisted! at 1:12 a.m. Friday night! lol

I'm pretty sure it's a false one and would like to share it here for confirmation on that...I think it means the AOS has been reviewed and accepted as it was sent to my husband, the petitioner. or does it mean the DS260 was reviewed and accepted?:

The only confusing part for me is it's called (Checklist Cover Letter)...does that show up on everyone's checklist? see bottom of post for copy of page 2 of this checklist letter.

both of my files were received on April 1st. Assigned case numbers the same day. K3 was closed 2 days later . The k3 is a waste.

I do hate weekends. Ugh

I was looking at my husband's birth certificate again. I have a copy here. The stamp on it even says declaration of birth....and another oval stamp from the judicial something something...with the date and then along the side it has the city. Book number and page number where it is recorded.. and that is hand written. There is also a red prINTED Number all the WAY ON top next to the letterhead from registro civil. It also has a stamp from registrador auxiliary. . San jose....hospital san Juan de dios Costa Rica.

I am not sure how original They want it to be. Haha. Hopefully when i call the nvc supervisor back on Wednesday i will be able to explain this to him. This is the biggest joke EVER

Yes, it is false. We also received similar three times before we got an actual 'Checklist' on April 30th.

You are right - EP is moving slower than non EP.

It's false. I am doing EP and have received 3 of these now. Each time I've called NVC and was told they are just reminding you to send in IV documents. You have already sent them so you can just disregard this email.

And this kinda makes me chuckle. We are both Canadians one EP and one none EP. Received my case # a month before you, yet your neck and neck with me for case complete. It's a race to the finish line. LOL. Looking at this I now know for sure that EP is much slower.

Thanks xprecious! Yes, I decided against EP strictly based on the issues you were having... I'm so sorry your case has been delayed by the process which should have made things easier for you.

oh, do you know what it means has been reviewed? Is it the AOS or the DS260? Or nothing at all? lol

I hate weekends! Well...I hate the WAITING on weekends!

For those of you who called and found out you had a checklist, how quickly did you get the "official" checklist email?

Sukie

I called Thursday morning, only to be told nothing had been reviewed on my case. Then I tried to call last night at 1100-1130 but couldn't get through... and this email about my 'false' checklist came through after their closing hours.

I got a checklist for IV doc when they reviewed my AOS, and got another checklist when I completed DS-260. From what I understand and don't know 100% is that they review-look over your DS-260, but nothing is done until they receive your IV docs and review and accept them. My AOS has been reviewed and accepted, I was told they had already reviewed my DS-260. I get told many different things everytime I call those wing nuts at NVC. I am expectine to hear something from NVC the first couple days of next week. The should recieve my IV docs that I emailed APR 4, but who knows. If they don't receive that email then I will be waiting another month till they recieve the IV email I sent on the 17th of April. I'm keeping my figures crossed thatthey receive the one from April 4th or I'm going to be one pissed off lady. This EP is BS big time. You were smart not to do it. If I would have known this was going to take this long I would have used snail mail. But I'm glad my experience has helped you and probably others to learn not to do EP. Good luck. Hope you I andand the rest of us get case comppletes soon. Maybe we'll run into each other in Montreal or maybe even Massachusetts, seeings as we'll only be an hour away from each other LOL. What a small world we live in

Thank you for replying :) Yup, I heard you get an automatic extension as well, but we filed for extension anyways, since it's more likely to be October than August when we can finally file taxes. So in all likelihood we won't have 2013 transcripts even for the interview. The embassy at least should understand this, hopefully :)

We decided to now add 2013 $0, 2012 $0 and 2011 0$ for part 6. and hope that the letter for 2013 explains it well enough. We attached 2010 tax transcript just in case they do want the info for that year as well. We'll see what kind of checklists we get, if we get them... fingers crossed we won't!

IR1 took 520 days....
