Electronic Processing:

I emailed my AOS on April 10th; I didn't receive an auto-reply at the time. However, I did receive confirmation on May 7th in an email that states: "We received electronic documentation for this case. Please allow up to 20 business days from the day the email was sent for the scanned attachments to be uploaded to the electronic case file and reviewed."

Anyone else receive the same message? When I call the NVC, they say that they don't have my AOS and that I need to wait 30 business days (instead of 20) for it to be uploaded. I am worried that I may have sent to big of files and they didn't actually recieve them, even though the emails says that they did.

We are enrolled in EP. We sent response to a checklist on April 30th but they have not reviewed it. Emails are being opened after 30 business days and then reviewed in next 2-3 days. The NVC rep that we call to find updates cannot see the emails that we sent until it is loaded by EP department. There is too much delay and the call centre representatives are not trained on EP process. It is frustrating as we don't know anything about our email status and then they would issue checklist for something stupid. Just pray that you don't get a checklist. Your email is there as you did receive an automated confirmations.

This is so frustrating! I just don't know why they didn't scan my documents in, like everyone else's has been. Look at everyone's timlines and it says AOS received, then AOS is scanned in. I feel like someone dropped the ball and now I have to wait another 30 days plus 20 days after I resend it.

Is there a way to request a supervisor review of my case?

you can request a supervisor review through an operator if you call. it may take some days for the review to happen though -- i've been waiting about a week for mine

We are at 14months since this process started.

Need advice. checklisted for two documents back in April, sent the first document in April. and they scanned it into their system on April 23.... Next document which is Indian pcc was scanned into their system on may 12. however, according to rep, they received another piece of mail on May 16, no idea what that is. Anyways, when will we get a case complete? Do they not assign case completes till after 3:30pm? I know they accepted the first checklisted document around May 12, because on that same day we received a checklist for the PCC (which was already scanned on May 12) ... Any ideas. This entire process is getting irritating. I would never suggest anyone to do this... apply for fiance visa or visiting visa.. and get hitched during that time...

Saylin or anyone else advice and suggestions appreciated. Also I am due to deliver on June 12, I seriously would've thought this entire process would be over by now... ugh!!! But we are being patient.

For all those looking for flights (now or for the future), I find the "google flights" has really good fares... the best I've found, at least for us from the Caribbean to the US west coast. At the top of your search results, it will even give you suggestions on how to get a cheaper flight (i.e. leave a day later or leave from another airport nearby). It also has a really awesome calendar that has a graph at the bottom showing which days have the lowest fares for the selected route, which is good for us because we won't have to leave on any specific day after we get the visa, just which ever day has the cheapest flight!

You can find it at https://www.google.com/flights/

Enjoy! I hope it helps someone find a cheap flight!

Umm... This is awesome sauce ! Thanks!

Once an interview is scheduled, both the benefeciary and petitioner will be informed. is there anything I can help you with today? Have a nice day sir and thanks for calling"

Wish there was a way to see where you are in the queue that would make it so much more stress free. But then that would be against policy
