Yep, asking too much !! Talked to Jean.. she gave me the "30 days for review" HUB BUB. Everytime I call, the operator makes a comment about all the entries for my file. Jean laughed at the number of supervisor reviews... All I could say was "NO kidding" She said she understands my frustration...

But that was it !

WOOT WOOT Road Trip. Let's go

you believe they keep a record of your calls into them? or just Supervisory reviews? I have always gotten the impression they had no idea when the last time I called was---

I have never gotten the feeling that anything was personal. just reading what they see on the screen, I also think that calling does NOT speed anything up- I have had my congressman make several inquiries over the course of this process and dont feel it helped or hurt at all--

it is what it is- and will be done when its done, sometimes I want to resist the urge of calling and just wait for the email-- but I just cant help myself from calling in and asking, I usually just ask, "whats next"?

I still have that red message since yesterday. I wonder when they will actually invoice me....

Few ppl said it should change in couple hours but it hasnt changed yet..

I know there is nothing to worry, as few people already mentioned thats OK as stated in wiki and i even called to confirm. But still annoys me to see that red boxed message!!!

it took me a week from case # assigned to be able to pay AoS fee and fill out DS261.

Don't panic if it takes a little longer now, NVC is kind of backed up lately.

I understand the feeling and it is really annoying.

Good luck

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

Goodness, hotels too! I'm still looking for a cheap flight to Orlando this September, so I might see how Google fares with the current sites I'm looking at.

SPIRIT air and Southwest Air are much better prices for my destinations and they are not on Google, you got to go direct but NOBODY comes close to Spirits price to Honduras, especially if you join the 9$ fare club which pays for itself on the first flight... Airfare in general has jumped quite a bit in the last two years... sadly.

Yes, they absolutely keep a log. I talked to Jean again today. She told me a supervisor review was placed on May 1st. I told her it was her that placed the request. She said I dont' remember that.. then looke dback and said " oh yea, that WAS me" and laughed.

They know how much you call. I guess they think by telling us the 30 day ####### will stop the calls or make them less frequent... HA HA not a chance... Our calls give them job security. HA HA

I know the calls don't speed anything up or slow it down HOWEVER, if something happens with my case , I want to know ASAP.

I will not wait for an email. and btw, I never received an email with a case number and invoice number. I got my numbers by calling. I only received an email when my invoices were ready to pay and for the checklist. And then 3 reminders for the checklist. and a reply to an email I sent on May 1st. The incorrect one and the correct one. I wouldn't trust them to send out emails for every step. Unless you have all the time in the world, I would suggest calling every single day. That's what we paid the fees for.... It certainly wasn't for expedited services... that is FOR SURE !!!

Question.....

1.) I paid the AOS fee for my wife and sent an email to the NVC asking them to combine the i30 of my wife and her daughter. NVC told me to do that. That was a week ago and hadn't received a response yet. Although when I went on the NVC's website to fill out the DS261 for her daughter, it didn't have an $88 AOS fee as it did for my wife. Am I to assume they did combine the cases & aren't charging me the an additional $88 fee for my wifes daughter?

2.) As far as the i864 form is concerned, which one should I use? I couldn't find the criteria for the i864 vs the i864ez. Would like to use the ez form if possible.

3.) As far as police certificates. The USCIS website says

"Police records. Philippine-born immigrant visa applicants 16 years and over are required to furnish certificates issued by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). The green NBI certificate annotated for travel abroad is the correct certificate. Other colors are for local use only. Foreign-born applicants who have resided in the Philippines for six months or more may be issued NBI clearances upon application either in person or by mail."

But it doesn't say how far back we should have the police certificates. Does she need a police certificate for each area she's lived in (Manila, Cavite, Cebu and Leyte)?

Thanks for any help =))
