DHL. I'm trying to get a hold of them now. I'm really worried.

My IV was sent via DHL, too. I do know the final facility the package goes through is Boston (as it's only an hour away from Portsmouth). I just grabbed my shipment tracking sheet and it say on the delivery notice "Destination Service Area: Boston, MA". Then under that I think you can click to view detail? The very top line on mine states Portsmouth.

What does yours say after it was scanned at the Boston facility? I hope they locate it!!

Scan is the equivalent of USCIS' priority date/NOA1 where as their "30 days wait" starts to count.

it means they received your package(s) and put in their system that they received correspondence from you. now you have to wait for them to actually review it which is taking about 3 weeks to either accept them or send out a checklist. so sit tight.

it means they received your package(s) and put in their system that they received correspondence from you. now you have to wait for them to actually review it which is taking about 3 weeks to either accept them or send out a checklist. so sit tight.

Hello everyone,

I'm sending IV packet pretty soon and working on the cover letter. Is it ok to sign at the bottom of the letter as Petitioner and provide my contact info. Or do I have to provide my husband's contact info, who's the beneficiary. Since he sent all of the original documents to me, I will be sending them to the NVC..just wanted to know what would be best....any ideas or suggestions? thanks!!

It was weird... And I'm not entirely sure what happened. I'd actually filled it in on the 9th, which was before I got the email saying it was ready. But it was available so I filled it in and got the confirmation and everything. Then they changed the interface on the website. I was checking it while we were away for our long weekend (last week) and it could be that somehow I clicked into the ds261 section, but at any rate, when I checked the web page after arriving home, I noticed that suddenly the ds261 was showing "not completed" so I resubmitted. I called NVC on Thursday, and was told that there aw no evidence of my ever having filled out the form before the resubmission on the 21st, and that it might take 15-20 days after that to get the IV fee unlocked. 2 weeks potentially lost... I am not amused. Trying not to give up hope, though, since I have recently received correspondence from NVC regarding emails I sent on the 5th. So hopefully they'll get to me soon. Especially with all your good wishes behind me!

Awwww thank you so much and OMG it must have been the changes they made it lost your DS-261 what a mess they have made of it all. But you will see it will be fixed and two weeks isn't bad at all. It could be a lot worse.

I give my updates I need to vent more tho I am so sick of this as we all are. from reading all the post things were moving along good and it has gone so slow and I must say stupid all these checklist I wonder how many newbies was hired coz they are really messing up

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok well your new to me :rofl: nice to see you post. The whole thing is stupid just ridiculous and I think it's on done on purpose. You know I remember reading this lady come on VJ and announced she couldn't take it anymore and she was getting a divorce because she just couldn't handle it anymore. How sad is that. Praying it all goes better for all of us and God willing it will.

Hi, glad to join the May NVCers. Our I-130 is done after over a year of processing. Now we're just waiting for the NVC to receive our case. I called their number from Shanghai, where I'll be working for a while, and I just get a busy tone. Granted this was at 10PM EST, not exactly off peak. Is this normal? Or am I just dialing the number wrong?

Well, my AOS was submitted electronic April 29. I called NVC and is not yet review and I have to count 30 business $%^& days! blah , blah , blah. From yesterday I have to count another 30 business days (IV submitted). I can say good bye to July interview.

do not provide misinformation. scan means they received it and does not mean they will start to review it. it takes 1-2 days for everyones corresponve to be scanned after tracking shows as delivered and the only real purpose is to verify nvc did receive it and to start counting their supposed 30 days to review it. as of now it is 3 weeks from scan to either approval or checklist of that package. as in today we got reports of several, but not all, people whos packages were scanned may 5th got approvals.

I doubt it matters too much who writes the cover letter and signs it, as it's more of an optional/ organizational device. You could maybe put 'beneficiary's contact info' as well as 'petitioner's contact info' and sign it below your information.

30 business days that applies to checklists review as well
