bdrew, if your scan date is may 7th, then i expect you to get a response Friday evening. though you should try every day if you want, that's what I estimate based on your scan date and my pattern tracking :P

Did you send them to National Visa Center? at

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2914

???

If yes, and yet your tracking shows delivered in Boston then you either made a mistake in the address or your mail service just delivered your IV documents to the wrong address. If so I would push the panic button and contact them ASAP before they are lost.

What address did you send to???? delivery made in Boston?? are you reading the tracking information correctly, maybe it just "passed thru " Boston?

Yes I did send it to that address, there is no way Boston was written on that and yes I am reading that it was delivered to Boston.

I am the beneficiary.

it should not be a concern regardless as long as you are over the poverty line they require.

it should not be a concern regardless as long as you are over the poverty line they require.

I think they are two completely different qualifications and one does not effect the other-- if you have enough income to qualify for an affidavit of support then you qualify and if your income is low enough to qualify for financial aid for your tuition then you qualify- I dont think that because you accepted financial aid it would effect your affidavit of support- it is based solely on your income. not your debt, or your obligations other than dependents ie.

From the reading I have been doing and from my life its ok to get now but when your hubby/wife is here you can not ask nothing from the government,

Thanks for answering my question

Anyone Know if The vaccinations question On ds260" do you have documents or records show ing you have vaccinations in accordance with US requirements" can be selected as no ? Also do the medical a that take place prior to interview entail the beneficiary getting the necessary vaccinations ?

If the beneficiary has not received their vaccines yet or does not have any records, just put "no" and then in the space for an explanation, just say that you plan to have them complete at your medical appointment, prior to the interview. :)

Nearly an hour on hold and nothing. They haven't looked at anything. They must be holding it hostage.

I asked a bunch of questions and didn't really get any answers. I wanted to know why it's taking so long this time around and he said, "Everything looks normal." Umm... Okay, thanks I guess. And then I asked if we generally get the CC email right away or if it takes a few days and he said, "You get it when it's completed." Yes, I know that part. But how long after?

I'm defeated. Not calling tomorrow. Screw it.

My husband is ready to move now! So much so, he got lost in a Google search making sure everything was good to go and thought he was missing all sorts of vaccinations lol God Bless Nich-Nick as she saved us from our panic hahaha

I did feel a bit better after my cry-baby fest. Luckily it was a busy day and I was meeting with clients all day. I'm sure they all saw my puffy eyes lol

Are you on skyscanner .net? It's been recommended! Also, depending on where in the US you are (I'm on my mobile so I can't see), Icelandair has reasonable prices. AND you can say you've been to Iceland!

I have checked skyscanner and it was helpful but there are only 2 airlines that do direct flights to Portugal daily in NJ (I live in an area with many Portuguese communities) and I don't do well with layovers. So that limits my choices and prices.

Think I'll start swimming. We literally just have the Atlantic Ocean separating the 2 countries. I just need to swim across.

wow this is strange. Are you sure your documents were "scanned" on May 5th . When were they delivered to NVC according to your tracking was it may 2nd?

what did the checklist request maybe it is something complex. regardless you oughta call tomorrow! I mean so close to victory can't give up now! just call and put on loudspeaker while you do some activity and it should at least make it less stressful

congratulations!! your timeline says you sent the IV docs on may 1st and that NVC received and scanned them on may 2nd (i dont think anyone has had same day delivery scanning so far). I feel that is probably wrong and they were scanned on May 5th as NVC tends to take 2 days to scan unless its weekend in which case if they receive on a friday they scan the next monday. Therefore it leads me to believe it is following pattern of documents scanned may 5th being processed today.

Edited by Snipe

Always double check your documents and forms. Not only do you get delayed by RFEs and Checklists, but the time it takes for them to review the new items you send could be used to approve more applications. Save yourself and others valuable time!

Current Status: NVC:
-Assigned and Received NVC Case Number, IIN, and BIN April 18, 2014. (100% sure case # was assigned today because I called twice and it wasn't assigned in the morning when they opened but in the afternoon it was)
*Could not provide email then as case was still being updated in their system
-On April 21, 2014 I was able to provide my email and beneficiary's.
-On April 28 I was able to fill out DS-261
-On April 29 I received and paid AOS Fee (at 1pm)
-On May 1 I received and paid IV Fee (at 1pm [became available]), also AOS Fee shows as PAID
-On May 5 IV Fee shows as PAID and DS-260 became available and was completed. Also, AOS Package Scanned by NVC

-On May 7 IV Package Scanned by NVC

-On May 28 AOS Accepted

-On June 2 IV Accepted/Case Complete

-On June 11 Interview Email Received

-On July 3 Interview at Moscow

Note: Medical Exam scheduled after interview letter received by calling the specific clinic, earliest appointment was 2 weeks ahead)

-Visa approved, came to us, got greencard, sadly things didnt go well and divorced. Last I hears she was still in the US and got a full greencard (I notified USCIS of divorce though)

Yup... Positive. Delivered 5/2... Scanned in 5/5. And nothing complex. Just Annual Gross income, line 13a (I think!). Just one number is putting everything on hold.

Why do you have to redo ds261?? You should call them and speak with supervisor and send them receipt of ds261 if required. That just sounds crazy to lose 3 weeks like that. Good luck!

crazy right?? I called them and told them I already did it and it shows complete, he told me It usually take couple of days after the email sent out to update the status!!! just waitttt as their usual answer!!!!!
