I'm calling and still waiting. I petition my mom and they need my birth certificate. I don't know how to do if they lost my documents :(

I guess that makes sense but scary that they might be lost. Ask for a supervisor review !

Hey everyone! I just got a really weird email from NVC. I got a RFE on 5-8-14 and today I just got another checklist but it is very strange. It almost looks like it is written in some sort of gibberish. I would post a screen shot of it but I don't know how. Let me know if yall have any idea what it might be!

If it is written in what appears to be greek letters, then it's an error on their end. Something about it being a new system so that happens (you would think it would be fixed by now). If this is your first checklist, then I would call to make sure it is not anything specific they need. If you have received a checklist before, then this is most likely the follow up reminding you to respond to it. Either way, call them. They need to know people keep getting them like this. Not cool!

Sweet so happy you called back. :D Did she give you the wait ten to twenty days spiel?:rofl:

Thank GOD so soon, take a deep breath and relax I so know how you feel. :D(F)(L)(F)

Yea she told me I should wait for 10 to 20 days. But I just kept checking the website and am getting the usual error message, so I guess maybe they are entering my case into the system. Lol

Just hang up the call and they said they have not reviewed my civics package (scanned on May 06) and allow them 30 business day

And the check list is because the system sent automatically. I always received the email from NVC around 1-2Pm (PST).

Hope I got the correct answer. I will call back tomorrow.

i don't think they lost it, from what i understand they don't think its an original. based on others here, supervisor reviews take about a week so I hope to hear something soon

Here is what it all says after I copied it into Word: I just dont understand what it is asking for!

On May, 06. The checklist show 3 missing documents so I'm not sure that is the false checklist. I wonder if the civics documents have not been reviewed yet, the missing should include another documents like beneficiary's birth certificate...

It is very hard for me to understand what are they doing. My original birth certificate is in hand-written. It is easy to see it is the original.

But I'm still hope this is the false checklist. I will call back to nite.

My AOS package was scanned on May, 05 had was approved last Friday.

First denial I was naive (hadn't found VJ at that point) and thought I could return to the US (after getting married on my last visit) and apply for a green card once I got in (like AOS). But alas, I was informed that was illegal. So, after some paperwork and explanation of what I had to do, I was escorted to the front of the airport.

Within a few days of sending all the required paperwork for the I-130 to my husband who then sent the I-130 package, I found that it is completely legal to visit the US while going through the process. So, within 2 weeks from the first denial (looking back, I should have waited much longer than just 2 weeks), I tried again, this time at a land border as it was cheaper to fly domestic than international. So, my dad drove me through the border. I was obviously pulled into secondary where I was questioned by an @$$ of an officer who was clearly on a power trip and didn't know as much as the process as he thought he did. Anyways, after much questioning, he denied me entry, stating I'd only be allowed in with the immigrant visa and that if I tried again at a different port with a "different story" (??), that I could get banned. So, not wanting to taking anymore chances, I stopped making attempts and my husband came up to visit me instead.

Do you want to feel better? I was even more naive, before getting married I went to spend sometime with my husband(then fiancé) for 4 months. I had no intention of doing anything illegal and of course I didn't consult any lawyer. I came back to Montreal to give up my apartment, my car and sell everything that I had. I still didn't have intentions of doing anything illegal, but decided to go back a month later with all my possessions to leave it in the USA and had a ticket back to Montreal 2 months later. I was thinking by then I will have my green card :rofl: . Got to airport and of course they stopped me , finger printed me (HUGE CRIMINAL) etc. They told me to do a fiancé visa. As you can imagine, I had nowhere to go, no place to stay, nothing. I stayed with a friend for 3 days, and my husband (then fiancé) came that weekend and we found a furnished apartment etc. We got married right away and applied for I-130. AND THAT IS A REAL NAIVE!!!!!!

Dated my husband for 7 years

CASE COMPLEEEEEEEEETE!!!!!! Since May 22! My husband just texted me the news!

[...]

Congratulations!!!!!!! :dance::energy::D

Hey guys for 2013 tax transcript I have to wait for 2 weeks ,Can I send w2 instead of 2013 transcript with 2012 and 2011 transcripts will they accept.

I agree with Nightingalejules, you must send in a copy of the entire tax return and all forms/schedules plus the W2. No biggie! And you must send in 2013/2012/2011 as we are too far past the tax deadline of Mid-April for you to use 2012 as the most recent year.

No need to wait for the transcript but have it available at the interview.

Received false checklist for IV package.. Does this mean anything?

That should mean they reviewed and accepted your AOS

I just received the checklist for missing the

- POLICE CERTIFICATE

- MARRIAGE TERMINATION

- PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE

I believe all were included in the Civics Docs. What should I do now because I don't have any original to submit one more time?

What did they do :(

When you say you 'believe all were included'... are you not sure? Did you make a copy of the package?? (So that you know exactly what you sent).

If you're certain you included them, call NVC and insist they are there, and hopefully they will start a supervisor review and find those documents - um, you did put your case number on every page or at least a sticky note with that number..... right?

hmm, I wonder why they are asking for the petitioner's birth certificate? The IV docs are all about the Beneficiary... Did you call?

Good catch! I just saw 'birth cert' but yeah, why are they asking for the petitioner's BC? how odd

"If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you."

"Life is not what it's supposed to be. It's what it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference."
