AOS/IV package entered into system

How do you guys know that, can you check the status online or call NVC?

I have submitted AOS/IV package and USPS recipet shows they are delivered today. I have also filled in DS260. I would like to know when they entered into their system.

Also why does it take so long to schedule interview? They say because embassy is busy however I know if someone applies to visit visa at Islamabad embassy they give interview date in merely 3 days but why so long for our spouses? I have already been in extended review for ever at I-130 and I don't want to be in another black hole again!

the day its delivered is different than the day they scan it in the system. There is usually a few days difference from the delivery date. Mine was delivered by FEDEX on May 6th but not scanned until May 8th. So May 8th is the date that starts the clock ticking. You have to call and find that out. There is nothing online that gets updated.

The DS260 only will show as Completed.

The interview openings are supplied by each individual embassy. It depends on how busy your embassy is.

My husband obtained a visitors visa from Costa Rica. The entire process took 8 days, from the day he called to get an appt to the day he received the Visa. I think he called on a Thursday and they gave him an appt the following Tuesday. It is a joke, I do agree !!

I just noticed something odd when I logged into the Consular Electronic Application Center. Just so you know, I'm a self-petitioner in an employment-based category that does not require a job offer.... I just like to hang around this rowdy crowd.

When I logged into the Fee Payment portal, I saw the following:

Affidavit of Support (AOS) Fee

-----------------------------------------

Petitioner Status

My name EXEMPT

IV Application Processing Fees

------------------------------------------

Applicant Status

Wife's name NOT INVOICED

Kids' names NOT INVOICED

My question is: Shouldn't my name be listed as an applicant as well under the IV fees?

21-MAR-2014 I-140 + PP sent to USCIS

31-MAR-2014 Petition approved

16-APR-2014 Case shipped to NVC

29-APR-2014 Case received by NVC

23-MAY-2014 Case # assigned

4-JUN-2014 IV Bill invoiced and PAID (AOS Exempt, DS-261 Waived)

6-JUN-2014 DS-260 forms submitted

10-JUN-2014 IV Docs received by NVC

13-JUN-2014 IV Docs matched to case (scanned)

30-JUL-2014 Case Complete, CC email auto-sent one week later

20-AUG-2014 AOS fee changed to N/A (Final clearance for interview scheduling?)

29-AUG-2014 Consular Interview scheduled on Oct 1st. Later rescheduled to Sep 24th. P4 Letter received following business day

14-SEP-2014 CEAC status changed to Ready

15-SEP-2014 Medical results delivered to Embassy by Panel Physician

24-SEP-2014 Consular Interview, went into AP (3rd AP in as many consecutive visa applications)

CASE COMPLEEEEEEEEETE!!!!!! Since May 22! My husband just texted me the news!

Notes: Last time he called, last Tuesday (5/20) they gave him the usual "it's going to take 30 days for review". On that same day, our Congress representative placed an inquiry about our case. I don't know if any of the calls made a difference, or was about time for case to be completed! But case complete!!!! No checklists!!! ((We're not off the hook just yet, 'cause I have a few complications that may thwart things at the interview, but for now, I'm celebrating!!!!!!!))

I am so thankful for the knowledge, wisdom, support, understanding, tears and laughs this group so selflessly share! Thank you all!!!!
