Hello everyone !! I'm pretty sure its been answered here before but can you please explain things to me like I'm 5 years old

1. My petition was approved by uscis for my wife and two kids(3 people)last week . Will NVC give me 3 case numbers or just 1 for the whole family ?

2. Am I going to pay 3x$88 for my AOS fee or just one for the three of them? I know IV fee will be paid for each person..

Hi, and welcome to the crazy NVC thread! Now you'll have a month or so to wait before you get your case numbers (and, yes, I believe you'll get 3 of them) so now's the time to read the NVC wiki (there's a link to it in the first post in the thread) about 800 times, to get on top of everything!

I think it's only one AOS, with one fee. The form has a place to fill in everyone's information.

OK two questions about the i-864... first of all, which parts of this should I be putting n/a or none in order to not get a checklist, like income from other family members or what???? I did fill in mailing address if different cause I know that one,

and second question... I am living abroad but I do have a job offer for when I move back to the US, so on my current annual income, on the employer letter it states what my approximate annual income will be, but that is considering 12 months and I obviously wont be working for 12 months this year, so.... do I put the amount I will make estimating when I will start or the full year's income?

I am in the same situation as you. I am living abroad and my job will end when I move back to the US. You have to write your current annual income as $0. I will be doing the same and using a joint sponsor and showing assets. I suggest you do the same.

“Can a credible offer of employment for the visa applicant replace or supplement an insufficient Affidavit of Support?

No, the law does not recognize offers of employment in place of the I-864.

A job offer may show ability of the applicant to overcome ineligibility as a public charge, but does not meet any I-864 requirement.”

I had a chance to call NVC on Friday. Used wifi and viber out to call from Europe. Was on hold about 10 minutes so it was not too bad. Our corrected papers that had been delivered a month ago was scanned in on wednesday and is with our file. I asked why it took a month to do this. Was told they are getting in heavy volumes of mail. I asked since it had been so long could I get a supervisor review? Was told she would try. Ask about a June interview possibility, they have stopped scheduling for June. Hope we can get a early july interview. Now I wonder about the second set of corrected papers that I mailed Tuesday. What will happen with 2 sets in our file.

I'm hoping for some kind of confirmation that my AOS is A-okay this week!

So when I called Friday, it was under review, soooo if I don't see a false checklist early this week should I appropriately freak out and assume I'm getting a real checklist?

Please don't freak out! Not everyone gets a false checklist, so the absence of one doesn't carry dark portents Just keep calling, it really is the only way to know for sure when a package has been accepted. Good luck this week!

Finally submitted IV supporting documents as well as completed the DS-260 form today. Yay! My husband and I are praying for no checklist and hopefully case complete soon.

Hello all,

Great news -- the NVC is no longer requseting the Greek PCC that I got a checklist for. Apparently the supervisor was able to pull my file and list it as "unavailable."

Now here's where things get mysterious: very recently the Greece Country Reciprocity page showed that the PCC was available for non-Greek applicants applying from abroad. But when I looked again today, it doesn't say anything about non-Greek applicants. I even have the old version saved in an email, but I have no idea when it changed. I knew from the beginning that this process was going to be like bureaucratic Kafka hell, but this is just too weird. Disappearing requirements...

They did insist that I send court records for my husband, but that item will be very easy to take care of as he's never been in court. I'm planning on sending a letter today.

Can't wait to hear everyone's good news this week!
