My father and I watch since I can remember and he was a forward then Goalie for EMELEC so he taught me all about the game and I don't ever remember not loving it. I will admit I love it much more when a South American team or teams are playing. We brought finesse to this game made it a ballet.

I'll be praying this doesn't happen I know and understand the reasons but as far as I'm concerned this is not the time for the countries sake. God willing all will be well.

I'm numb I know when I get my Case Complete it will just mean a very long wait then AP so it's difficult for me to be excited. I'm more scared and depressed.

All will be well my dear Gee&Cee you will see, I see it in my crystal ball. :)(F) (L) (F)

Well, all will be well! You see it in your crystal ball! Especially when it comes to our visa game! :)

As far as the Cup goes, it's soccer we're talking about! Brazilians love the game and the celebration that comes with it. As we say, "here everything ends in samba"! So, we may forget to protest or protest just end up in samba! :) :)

Can't wait for the World Cup, so excited, was hoping to watch it with my husband but that wont happen. And not a fan of Real Madrid. ;) hahahaaa! (F)(L)(F)

I just said this in a reply to etrangais lol. We can't watch with our men but we can chat about it here. Well sorta because it's totally off topic lol.

My dad and I were just discussing the game at the table loll. Going to see Portugal v Ireland on June 10th in a friendly in NJ before they head to Brazil for the World Cup. Thought I'd end up seeing the games with the hubby, but looks like that won't happen. We'll have to use Viber to chat during the games.

Vai tudo correr bem... Não te preocupes ;)

Yes indeed we can go off topic if there is a stupendous game why not and what can I say, great minds think alike.

Always FIFA! It seems that they didn't pick up any of the tab!

FIFA is as corrupt as you can possibly be and they want the money in their pockets they care about nothing else the game is just a source for it.

I called the cust rep at nvc.. they said that they received the packages and have to wait for 30days..i think that N/A means that they're not finish reviewing those packages yet.. im just worried.. u know..

Last weekend we were trying to figure out what the new layout means in practice. It doesn't seem to mean much. Mostly whether or not NVC received the payments and the online forms, and where the case is (NVC or consulate - see that on upper right had corner). It doesn't say if things have been approved or case is complete, nor they're being reviewed. As far as the N/A goes, looks like they haven't input the data there yet. Even Saylin, who's been in the US for 4 years now still has an N/A!!! Other recent cases complete also had N/A. It'll be interesting to note when that changes.

For now, I would not worry about it and go by what the representative told you on the phone.

Is form 4868 enough as proof of extension for the year 2013 Tax returns?

I believe so, depending on your individual case it may vary but I would also attach documentation where you have paid your taxes when you filed your extension, maybe even evidence of delivery or a tracking #, and also documentation of your current income. on your AOS, if you filed an extension for 13 then 13-14 would be current income and last three years would be 12,11,10, or at least thats what I believe to be the way that would go.

How long does NVC keep your file active there from when they receive your case? Like, how long do you have to send in all the paperwork? I MAY try to delay the NVC process by not sending in the IV docs right away, but I don't want to deactivate my case or anything. This has do with a work contract issue where I may return to my husband's country for awhile.

You have to contact them once a year at minimum in order to keep your case active. A statement to that effect was at the bottom of all their emails to me (on the PDFs).

Do you mean just email them? Or send in some kind of document or fee once a year? So your case could essentially be active for more than one year as long as you contact them?

I would say call, it takes them ages to receive emails and you don't want to be in a situation where you're fighting over case status because you sent an email before the year mark but they didn't read it until after. If you don't want to actually move your case along by paying fees or filling forms I wouldn't think you have to, so long as you're making those periodic calls. Worth double checking with them when they reopen after the holiday just to be sure though.
