You say you have the original birth certificate? Isn't that a good thing? As that's what you require... original OR certified.

Well, yes we have one... but we have only one. I'm not sending that original document to NVC. It might be the only one in existence.

I'm going to ask Vladi to see if he can get a copy from Kazakstan. But that is going to take a LONG LONG time. We are talking months... and they may not even get it!

Either use tax return transcripts from the IRS or else use the entire income tax return including W2. Hopefully that helps.

I'm not so sure about that, as the DS-260 sampler does show a field for Beneficiary ID #. Has that field been excised recently?

Don't let this system get to you when you're so close to putting it all behind you. The last leg of the race is the toughest I'm sure, so here is a trick I learned to use in such situations and which my wife has picked up and is even more proficient at it now than I am:

Pick a challenge that usually absorbs you for hours on end and vow to finish it twice as normal. In my case it would be volunteering to chair a conference session or drafting a new research proposal. In my wife's case, scheduling and preparing a make-shift art exhibit with here friends would be a mother of a task, as she would also need to accelerate her ongoing projects to include them in the exhibit (and that's her hobby for now, she teaches economics for a living).

For someone else, it might be overhauling their garden, or volunteering as a reader/helper for kids at the local public library. For others, it might be experimenting with new recipes to surprise their loved ones when the happy days come. If you concentrate enough on whatever you choose, you'll find time whiz by you almost indecently and you'll hardly have time to ponder the mysterious machinations of the mighty NVC.

That reminds me... I better start drafting that darn book chapter. It's due next month.

I've been so busy and actually live a very active life. I teach full time, go to the gym, I'm working on house renovations, actively volunteer, spend time with friends, etc.. But there is still a piece of me that is missing. And even though I keep my mind actively engaged and keep myself super busy doing things I love, I can't always share it with my husband. For someone who likes to plan everything and is somewhat of a control freak, this particular situation is very hard. It also doesn't help that no one around understands and continues to ask the same questions.

I am already over the phone call and the no progress. I allow myself to stay bitter for about 5-10 min and then I need to move on. Just needed to vent during that time and chose VJ. Now I need to go back to reading The Fault in Our Stars so I can watch the movie.

Does anyone received the invoice in the weekend? I waiting IV Fee invoice 15 days since DS-261 Completed. Today is last day of the week if they don't sending invoice on weekend. So waiting 4 more days to start a new week( Monday is Memorial Day,holiday)

I am exactly same as you. Paid AOS on 8th MAy and still no IV invoice. Now a three day weekend so can't do anything but wait.

Just did a quick search on the Beneficiary ID #. It seems (or at least used) to be different from Case # and unique for each travelling companion (where there are derivative beneficiaries). I've even come across someone claiming BIN field was auto populated when he filled his form!

In any case, BINs are provided over the phone and in the IV Invoice, if I'm not mistaken.

Counted the days since we lived togethor in a normal family stting 905 days as of today.... INSANE.

I will turn off SKYPE for years to come.. NEVER use internet phone how nice would that be..??

This morning I was talking with my partner about my anger and disgust with this process. I'm the USC, and I have done ALL the prep and have handled the whole process. I'm now in Australia - I had booked my ticket to arrive mid-May assuming we would have a June interview. At least we are together at this time.

Anyway, she doesn't like it when I get so frustrated and angry - my aura must turn flaming red or something. She asked me if all the time I spend on VJ just riles me up more.

I told her that VJ is what has kept me sane. That having people with stupid checklists - like LoveMyTico - helps me understand that we are not being singled out. I said how much we help each other out - that those of us who have made it through help those who are still behind.

I chose not to call NVC on Friday night, US time. I knew that if nothing had happened on my case, I was going to be livid all weekend - it will be WEDNESDAY here in Australia before I might get any progress (because of the Monday US holiday). My checklist response wasn't scanned in until May 9th - and it is obvious that they are not reviewing checklist responses before about 13-15 working days.

So I think next week will be our week for case complete. We are so screwed as far as a June interview at this point. I just hope we get a July one! We had return tickets for July 7th - luckily we can change these easily.

And congrats to those who have actually gotten supervisor reviews. I asked specifically for a supervisor review since my checklist is an NVC mistake - not mine. I was denied twice.

I know it's terrifying, but you might just have to bite the bullet and send in the original. I know we've heard stories of them losing things, but it's not common. And what if they won't or can't give you one from Kazakhstan? Then you're in the same position but you've lost several months!

what does N/A means in the immigrant visa summary information under affidavit of support documents and civil document of petitioner and beneficiary, respectively? thanks in advance..

Wierd... I called on monday which was a little over a week from our NOA2 and xfer to NVC. They were kinda curt with me and were like call back in 4-5 weeks. Today I received emails with the AOS bill and case number! Totally didn't follow the NVC guide where we are supposed to call and hound them for this information... At any rate I'm waiting for some documents from Vladi and from my employer. Of course the IRS isn't cooperating tonight by letting me log in and get my tax transcripts for 2013.

I'm very worried though. Vladi was born in Kazakstan as a Volga Deutsch. His family was repatriated to East Germany in 1982. We have his original birth certificate. Of course now I realize they want a "certified" copy of this. The problem is when we were unable to find his BC back in 2012 before we got married in Germany they told us if they had to order one from Kazakhstan it would have to be coordinated by the German Embassy there and that it isn't guaranteed that they could get a copy. Even if they could it would take several YEARS! This is very disappointing. I can get his BC notarized but read that won't work at all :-(
