And I'm STILL on hold. Great way to spend a Friday night. At Home Depot and then on hold for NVC. Whoooo.... I sure know how to party it up.

Whoa. You need to calm down. Don't make me call the po po!

Let's see, I ate a gyro, then had a milkshake (can you tell I'm emotionally eating?) and I've spent the last 2 hours on hold with NVC. Party up.

That was a waste of time. Still under review, 30 days, bls bla bla.

He said "I don't see a check list because we haven't reviewed your documents yet". He literally told me 2 sentences before that my documents were currently under review. I said he was confusing me and he said "I don't understand your question".

They have senioritis and clearly want to start their weekend.

This is like a sick joke. There's a bunch of people that had packages scanned in on May 5th and they just got Case Completes or their packages were accepted. I just got thru and they told me nothing has been looked at on my end. It'll be 3 weeks on Monday that they've had my revised AOS. Why can't they just pick up the stupid thing and look at it?!?!?!

Sorry... I'm just so upset with this stupid system. I just want piece of mind that everything is ok and there is a CC. Plus the agent was not nice. So I told her, "Yea yea I know, I have to wait up to 30 business days for the package to be reviewed." Didn't need to here that again from them.

Were on the same boat. Aos checklist scanned last May 5th and still nothing. Hoping and praying next week we will hear the goodnews..

Random question... If I apply for financial aid for school and my dad is sponsoring for my husband.. Is there a connection between these? Will the government look at this and give me a checklist for aos or deny him coming here? For fafsa they only want to see my husband's income and for NY state they ask who am a dependent of and thats my dad.

Don't let this system get to you when you're so close to putting it all behind you. The last leg of the race is the toughest I'm sure, so here is a trick I learned to use in such situations and which my wife has picked up and is even more proficient at it now than I am:

Pick a challenge that usually absorbs you for hours on end and vow to finish it twice as normal. In my case it would be volunteering to chair a conference session or drafting a new research proposal. In my wife's case, scheduling and preparing a make-shift art exhibit with here friends would be a mother of a task, as she would also need to accelerate her ongoing projects to include them in the exhibit (and that's her hobby for now, she teaches economics for a living).

For someone else, it might be overhauling their garden, or volunteering as a reader/helper for kids at the local public library. For others, it might be experimenting with new recipes to surprise their loved ones when the happy days come. If you concentrate enough on whatever you choose, you'll find time whiz by you almost indecently and you'll hardly have time to ponder the mysterious machinations of the mighty NVC.

That reminds me... I better start drafting that darn book chapter. It's due next month.

Wierd... I called on monday which was a little over a week from our NOA2 and xfer to NVC. They were kinda curt with me and were like call back in 4-5 weeks. Today I received emails with the AOS bill and case number! Totally didn't follow the NVC guide where we are supposed to call and hound them for this information... At any rate I'm waiting for some documents from Vladi and from my employer. Of course the IRS isn't cooperating tonight by letting me log in and get my tax transcripts for 2013.

I'm very worried though. Vladi was born in Kazakstan as a Volga Deutsch. His family was repatriated to East Germany in 1982. We have his original birth certificate. Of course now I realize they want a "certified" copy of this. The problem is when we were unable to find his BC back in 2012 before we got married in Germany they told us if they had to order one from Kazakhstan it would have to be coordinated by the German Embassy there and that it isn't guaranteed that they could get a copy. Even if they could it would take several YEARS! This is very disappointing. I can get his BC notarized but read that won't work at all :-(

Yuuuup!

What do you mean missed the cutoff by a week? I dont understand what you are quoting there. Tax season? who told you that?

They likely mean they sent in their forms just after the mid April deadline for using 2012 as the 'most recent tax year', as after that date people are supposed to use 2013 as the most recent tax year on the I864. ^_^

ok here case complete !!as of 21mai .so thankful to every1 .hang in there guys good mews are knocking your doors soon :) !PLZ how can i track my mail when its send to the embassy from NVC..can i get a june interview??

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! :energy::energy::energy:

Hello guys, I'm sending only Tax transcripts from the IRS for the last 3 years...but I noticed Federal income tax return, including W-2s in I-864 Checklist, what should I do? Someone from this forum suggested me before that only Transcripts from IRS would be fine and Saylin suggested in the WIKI also...any ideas?

Either use tax return transcripts from the IRS or else use the entire income tax return including W2. Hopefully that helps. :P

I'm so sorry to hear this. I feel a bond to you as we filled out our DS260 at the same time, and thought we'd be neck and neck through this process. I'll use all the positive energy I can for you tonight and hope that early next week you'll have the good news

when will DS-261 be available after having case number? where can i get my beneficiary number because when i called nvc they just gave me case number and iid number. thanks vjers :)

It's my understanding that we no longer require the beneficiary number. :)

You say you have the original birth certificate? Isn't that a good thing? As that's what you require... original OR certified.
