I just spoke to Kevin (super duper nice) told me exactly what I messed up on line 13a on I-864 and 11 on I-864A.. But everything else was good.. He told me the same thing as you that I don't have to wait for the checklist email and to go ahead and send the revised AOS with original cover sheet.. Thx again for your help!!

Wow as I was typing this I got the checklist email :)

May I ask what you did wrong on line 13a? I don't want to make the same mistake.

For those of you who are sending additional evidence of genuine marriage and photos to NVC to “middle load” do you think it is necessary for someone whose wife is Japanese and do you think it is even worth doing considering my I-130 only took 22 days? I mean, the evidence submitted with the I-130 package is all at NVC right now as well right? I can’t really submit anything much newer than what I already submitted since it has only been like a month since I sent the previous evidence. Do you think I should just not bother with that stuff?

22 days???? are you friggin kidding me??? UGHHHHHHHH

Please say a prayer just in case for Changnoi and his beautiful family, with all that is going on in Thailand you just never know. I pray they are well and safe and the interview went well. Thank you in advance. (F)(L)(F)

correct me if i am wrong.

when we sent the email to have all nvc corespondents from NVC be sent through email that means NOTHING will be sent through mail, correct?

That's what i understood from their website, wiki, and confirmed today when I called, BUT, it's nvc after all, I got something in the mail today. I got the same info that was sent to me by email. The crazy thing is that it was sent to the wrong apartment number. I've moved when my case was still with uscis and I submitted a change of address then and it was confirmed that they had it changed and when i was still at uscis, i did a couple of case inquiries and they were sent to my current address. idk why they don't have it updated with nvc.

i called and spoke with rick. he was actually surprised that i got something in the mail and stated that maybe because they didn't have my email on file, which is not true because i gave my email the same day i got my case number annnnd it was also included in my i-130.

i also, again, asked about the ds-261. i told him that i submitted it twice and would that delay my iv fee and he stated that if i didn't change anything and did it correctly that i should be fine. he also stated (from what he understands is the purpose of the ds-261) is that even after my iv is invoiced that i can go back and add an agent, if i want.

the end. lol, sorry for the long update.

Oh no! :( What did they checklist you for?

I had a checklist for 2 parts. On my joint, sponsor's I-864, it was:

1. In Part 6. Sponsor's Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

I know it was covered like a million times here, but since it's all being done by a lawyer in the US, I dont have any control over what they fill out. Besides, they probably think I'm an idiot anyway!

2. You must submit the following financial evidence:

[x] ___2013____________________________ IRS tax schedules.

[x] _______2013________________________ Federal income tax returns, IRS printout, or Letter 1722 issued by the IRS.

I'm positive my husband handed them copies of all his 2013 tax stuff, so I really dont know what's happening :( My husband will be calling the lawyer in the morning and possibly be going over to see them. I just hate the fact that because of this we're gonna be delayed another month! I hope they don't take 30 days to review corrected documents as well...

It seems that they auto-expedite cases that are filed from overseas (where both of the married couple live abroad together). If the case gets sent to CSC, people have been getting approved in a matter of weeks. It seems that they are doing this to make up for the fact that we can no longer do DCF at our local embassy.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/357465-usc-petitioner-living-abroad/

BTW, quick question. Are W2s required for AoS if you are sending tax return transcripts or are they only required if you are sending the actual 1040 and the other stuff?

They said it is not the original.. so instead of arguing for days, my husband just went to get a certified copy. It is the original. It has the stamps and book and page written on the side. Parents names The papers is thin yellow paper with Civil registry on the top, a registration number... the whole 9 yards... they say no. so now they will have the original and the certified copy. They accepted our marriage certificate and the birth cert now looks exactly like that. I think I'll call again... Maybe they did some work today

the operator I had today said that you get an email (case complete or the checklist) when they are done with a supervisor review... is that true in your case?
