I was thinking about this earlier and having PTSD flashbacks to the bogus RFEs at USCIS. There's something called Hanlon's Razor which states "never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"... but I still wonder.

That's an excellent statement lol

For me, it's the realization that some other entity is handling the puppet strings, if you will. I feel as though I have little control throughout this entire nightmare and it often feels like things are made up as we go along. It's oh so very frustrating and I gave up trying to make sense of it all when I saw people who filed AFTER me get approved BEFORE me.

Now, I'm typing this knowing full well I was at the tail end of the backlog and my petition was approved before others' who deserved to get approved well before me. Not right and not fair. I'll remember this on election day :-D

Did you try calling them and having the supervisor review it?

When i found out yesterday i basically said "that can't be possible, i sent the original". so the operator put in for a "supervisor review". now that I have the checklist, I'll call again tonight..

I was thinking about this earlier today, I wonder if this is another way they 'control the workflow'? I'm sure I'm just being paranoid but some of these checklists make you wonder if they have toddlers with crayons looking at these documents!

we got a checklist with description of the mistake in the AOS.

and the funniest thing is that my husband found another one while correcting his mother's papers, she put wrong address of the beneficiary (me) but nobody questioned that.

you're right about toddlers.

This is painfully slow, I been calling every day now HOPING for some advancement.....

On May 6th - they signed for my IV docs, been waiting for them to get reviewed.

My AOS for my secondary case (daughter) was missing the supporting documents (dOP!) - I knew to attach to AOS , but who would have thunk that I needed two copies of my pay stubs, two copies of my employment letter, two copies of my tax return from last year, two copies of the transcript, two copies of everything (120 pages in all)-- well I didn't- but I sent them out the same day I got the checklist- keep in mind the AOS was approved for my primary case.. (wife)--

they signed for that on 5/19th and it was scanned in today-- 5/22nd... just waiting and waiting... I think it was easier when I knew I was MONTHS away--

appreciate the whining pole for the moment..

no luck today... looks like a long holiday weekend for me- good thing I am working every day..

For any Canadians (particularly in Montreal), I just got in my PCC application at 200 Rene Levesque (Complexe Guy-Favreau). $40 and they're even going to mail it directly to my husband in the US for no charge.. they also email you a digital copy the next day.

I am the beneficiary.

July 2010: Met in Germany

Sept 14th 2012: Started Relationship (visited each other 20+ times since then)

May 1st – Aug 31st 2013: J1 Stay in US

Dec 23rd 2013– Jan 4th 2014: Trip together to Germany

Jan 30th, 2014: Married in VA!

Feb 11th, 2014: Back in Montreal

USCIS Journey

Feb 13th, 2014: Sent I-130 packet overnight (delayed by DC storm)

Feb 18th, 2014: I-130 received by USCIS (PD)

I sent wedding/reception pics, benefits paperwork showing that I added my wife to my insurrance plan, Bank statment showing her as the beneficiary of my investments

Im sure you didn't need to send all that. Are you worried because her country is high fraud???

I've divorced once before, so I just wanted to make sure the CO is not going to question her a lot.

My wife is very shy and she might panic undeer pressure. So I just wanted to make sure I set the tone the CO gets a good impression before even calling her to the window for the final interview.

The IR interviews are usually easy and straight forward in Morocco, but just in case!!

you'll still get a review by a supervisor. They say it takes 30 days... Mine took only 2 days each. The most recent review was requested yesterday.. Hopefully I'll hear something tomorrow. That will make my weekend very pleasant :idea::luv: IF you can get another marriage certificate fairly fast, I would suggest just getting it. You don't know what the review will bring. They reviewed ours 3 times and each time they rejected it EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE ORIGINAL.. This is all so frustrating. I wonder if they are doing random Quality Assurance checks.. Maybe that is the reason for the checklists.
