In Topic: NVC Filers - May 2014

30 April 2014 - 05:12 PM

May is my month (My gut feeling) Still I will not call NVC until next week. I just received an email my I 864ws were delivered today so I will let the hard working men and women at NVC take time to review. It was the second AOS checklist. The first one I sent on Tuesday April 8 and was told to wait 20 working days and at some point 30 working days. Then on Monday I was told that one case was completed after that review, so when I call next week I will ask the exact date this particular case it was completed and work backwards to the April 9 when they received the AOS and that will give me the approximate days I should wait before I start a frenzy of calls. My two cents.

In Topic: NVC Filers - May 2014

20 May 2014 - 11:57 AM

I had mentioned earlier that I was gonna take a hiatus from my frequent NVC phone calls. So I broke the streak today. I made the phone call and had the longest wait ever, before one of the operators came on and told me that it will not be long before my case is complete. Why? I calmly asked, and she said its because they were reviewing April 26th mails (It was a Saturday) and she noted that my I864W was received on May1. I wonder how many days they take to review an average day's mail. Time will tell..... crossed fingers and toes.

THEN TODAY 5/22/2014

I called NVC this morning and finally the operator told me that the cases are complete and waiting for Embassy scheduling!.

Between aching for loved ones, NVC's feet dragging and Labor Day blues... I think any and all are entitled to some venting. It's all in the VJ family.

I'm sure everyone's outlook will be much brighter the other side of Monday.

I didn't say people weren't entitled to vent. Venting and taking out our frustrations on other people are two totally different things.

I vent all the time. I'm tired, frustrated, burnt out and just fed up with everything. And seeing NVC hand out check lists like Tic Tacs just sucks out all the energy.

Thank you VJ members, you guys are relentless and you soldier on despite the highs and the lows....the journey continues. I will take a peek at the country portal - somewhat inert - and find out anyone with a rough time-frame or guesstimate - from case complete to interview scheduling.

31 days now this morning I do have the EP optin confirmation for the wife that changed her GUZ number to a GZO number. Still nothing for the stepson. He will be intering with his mom. I know it the same AOS package for both of them but I'm not sure if the IV package uses the same new GZO mumber as his mom or if i still have to wait for that. Does anyone know? calling nvc now 30 min hold.
