Because my income has been foreign earned for the last three years, I do not actually submit W-2's or schedules with my tax return. I simply submitted my 2011 and 2012 Tax Transcripts and my 2013 1040 (do not have a transcript yet) with an explanation of why I do not have W-2's. I thought that would be enough as my income here should not technically matter because my Joint Sponsor more than meets the requirements. Could I be checklisted for this? I didn't submit my paystubs because I thought it was not necessary... :(

I'm recanting my own question. I know someone is going to yell at me for asking and for not "reading the Wiki" even though I have read it 1,000,000 times. Not everyone's situations are identical or even similar to the Wiki...

Disregard question. I repeat, disregard question.

Aw, don't sweat it... it's tough figuring out the nuances when it comes to overseas employment. As far as I can guess based on stories from other VJ members, there's a chance you could receive a checklist. I say that only because NVC are a bunch of derps, not necessarily because you've done anything wrong. In fact you're quite right, pay stubs and employment letter aren't required, and if you don't have 1099s or W-2s you obviously can't submit them. The trouble is whether or not NVC will pick up on all these things, and I would say there is definitely a possibility they won't. Unfortunately there's nothing you can do until they've reviewed your package, because there's no telling what they might ask you for (if anything). Hang in there a little longer, based on your timeline seems AOS review shouldn't be too far off for you.

My wife's 2013 tax return was foreign. She just attached her p60 (uk taxes) and all the pay stubs for that year. Plus the 1040. We don't do w-2's either, and as the transcript isn't available for it we just sent everything we sent for the CPA to do. Hoping it won't be an issue :).

Hello All,

I have a question. I'm currenlty trying to immigrate my wife and son to san diego im at the NVC stage. I applied for an expedite request and on May 15th the consulate in Montreal denied my request. Does anyone know why they would deny such a request?

Here is what I wrote:

"I’m currently on active duty in the United States Navy and stationed in San Diego, California. At any moment I can be chosen to obligate an “Individual Augmented billet” a.k.a. I can be deployed at any time. I would be very thankful and appreciative if you expedite my case because I need to have my family prepared for such an event. Also, my wife is 20 weeks pregnant and it’s very hard on her not having me there because she also has a four year old to take care of (case MTLxxxxxxx). Furthermore it would be a lot better for us financially if she were here in time to give birth at the Naval hospital because we are covered by my job. Attached is statement of service. I appreciate your time and effort in reviewing my request"

Thanks,

Vosman

Yes it is. That "Information on the Principal Immigrant" section continues from the bottom of the left column over to the top of the right, it's very poorly designed.

DON @ NVC (laughing) told me to disregard the email. I asked about my info being forwarded to someone else because someone can sign in and look at my DS260 an all m husbands info is there.

He said he can guarantee that did not happen. Also informed me that my mail was not reviewed yet but someone reviewed my file again today. I asked if that was them sending this stupid response and he said no. Anyway, I picked his brain a little about the CMR and DR cover sheets.

Initial AOS packages go to the CMR, all other packages go to the DR. They are separated and they do open mail by the date it was scanned in. I asked how many days of mail do they process in a day. Of course he had no idea. Of again I got the 30 day yadda yadda yadda #######.

Maybe somebody else can ask the same questions to see if there is truth in what he said..

Honestly, this clearly shows that people at nvc have zero knowledge about confidentiality. disregard? is he serious or stupid? and what "guarantee" , like he claims, that our information have never been sent to the wrong person? no offense to him, but he only answers our calls. wow, it really makes me feel very uncomfortable. and you know, IF, lets say someone got a hold of my information and was able to screw it up for me, nvc would come after me and say I am a total fraud of something. people lose their practicing licenses and can get in so much trouble for releasing identifying information. what is this guy talking about? :ranting::ranting::ranting:

okay, i think i am done.

Thanks,

Vosman

:ranting: :ranting: Ok now I'm REALLY PISSED OFF! Why would they deny you, there is NO reason to do so. Something has to be done, while others that don't deserve it are put in front of the line, now this. Really, REALLY this is so disgusting! Ok better stop expletives are starting to circle my head. There must be someone you can write or if you can have a Superior write a letter supporting your request. I'm sure they would have to accept it. Please keep us informed of what happens. God bless you for all you do for us and I for one will be praying for you. (F)(L)(F)

Checking in as a May NVC filer, petition approved May 14th

Welcome to the funny farm the more the merrier :D(F)(L)(F)
