Tell me about it!! This is one major reason why I've stopped being so active cause it's the same questions over and over again, which can be answered by simply reading.

Does it ever make you wonder how they even got through the first part of the process? ;)

OK, that was weird. Might be a glitch, might be something with the new interface on CEAC website... but I just had to fill in my DS261 again. Or rather not fill it in, since the whole form was still "filled in" and had been showing as "completed", but then this morning it showed as "not completed" so I just rechecked everything and hit "submit" again. I hope this is going to replace the "in the process of termination" notice.

It did say on the receipt I emailed myself that the next thing I would recieve is the IV bill. But now I'm fretting. Oh well, nothing to be done about it - can't call NVC today because I'm working a double. Maybe tomorrow.

same thing happened to me and i did exactly the same thing. >.<

basically without filling ds-261 you're not able to pay fees, if fees are paid it means that you filled the form before.

who cares if you didn't change anything in the form.

my husband called NVC today, didn't mention anything, they didn't mention anything as well.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought about this too, I don't know if I'm happy for the day off of work or I'd rather work with a chance to see my husband sooner!!

YESSS ME TOO!!! This jersey weather has sucked!!! lol we'll do a sundance or something lol

LoveMyTico I feel your pain. I have also gotten anxiety over all of this and sometimes take it out on my husband, when he seems so calm about everything. I've been handling everything, with him maybe doing a few things here and there, and it stinks. The job I have also barely covers my bills as of now, I can only imagine when he gets here and with no knowledge of english. I paid for him to take english classes and he dropped out bc he said there was nobody to practice with. So this process has me extremely stressed and just thinking of all the work that will come even after he's here has me stressed too. I feel as though I've gained weight too, and I didn't think about that, it probably is due to stress.

My husband lived here for 3 years. I was the ONLY person who spoke english with him. He didn't speak a word of english when I met him. I love his accent and his grammer mistakes are adorable. He insists that I correct him when I hear something worng but I know what he means and I think its cute. My spanish is horrendous. I understand but its very difficult to talk back and have a conversation. I am sure I sound like a caveman. But his family is amazing. they speak slow. My husband only speaks english with me. I send CD's for my husband to study while he is waiting. He is very shy. He tells me he understands about 95% of what I say but he is afraid of interacting with strangers for fear they may not understand him and he won't understand them. And he is embarrassed that his grammer is not perfect. We talk everyday for about an hour and we text constantly during the day. He writes in spanish and I write in english. Its good for both of us to learn !!

Stress is horrible. I try to keep my head straight by thinking of how good everything will be when this is all over.

My bills are killing me. Last Friday I just had to fork over $500 to replace the steering column in my car. I was out of work 4 days last week because I had no way to work. That was so stressful. My job is like 45 minutes away.

I keep telling my husband we need to play the lottery more often. We really need to win.

Ooops! You forgot the final ingredient! Put it on the floor (with the hair you lost), jump over it 7 times, and have a one-eyed dog bless it.

Quick! Do it in absentia if you must.

PS. You'll bee soon receiving a bill from the VJ resident Witch Doctor... in 30 days.

hahahahahahahah  I should have done bahkor.

too late now, but inshaAllah with everything I've done, NVC reviewer will just take one glance at it and realize how much time and effort I put into it and approve it right away. or maybe i should have written a note staying that it was reviewed 100 times, look over by 3 of my sisters, that i lost some hair and gained weight...lol they'll understand...NOT.

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Ukraine
Timeline

I don't know about other VJ members, but me personally, VERY tired from NVC and theirs inconsistency . I requested an expedite due to situation in my country and another reason, so our daughter will be able to start new school year in US in time. NVC pre approved our expedite, but they said that they need to get AOS an IV docs, so we did. I called them today to see how long it will take to review it and rep told me 20-30 days and that expedite doesn't matter (SO what good does it do to have an expedite?????) BS...... :ranting: I know for sure, that two other members from VJ, who requested an expedite for theirs family members from Ukraine got it approved right after NVC received all docs from them. WHY WHY WHY it always different, not just for me for other VJ members too ( RjKatya he didn't even send IV package to the NVC his wife brought it to the embassy) First I got wrong case number, because some Idiot made a mistake and it took them 3 weeks to fix it.

Every day is getting worse and worse here, where I and our daughter at and I don't know what to do. I am scared and frustrated :crying::cry: GOD, please HELP us All!!!!! I pray every day! We don't want a lot, we just want to be together with our loved ones, I don't think we are asking too much!

Oh, it makes me wonder about a lot of things :devil:

I can understand if you have a genuine question! But, if you made it through the I-130, I'm pretty sure you can make it through the NVC process. This is not to discourage anyone from asking genuine questions, especially since there are complicated cases and confusion sometimes! But looking through the profiles, you clearly see they asked the same questions repeatedly on 5 different threads, and excessively after answers have been given! Maybe I should just start asking silly questions, even though NVC has everything and I'm just waiting for checklists, or a case complete...!

Saylin, I don't even think a Guide for Dummies would even help sometimes..!

I tell my husband how awesome his english is. He gets all embarrassed ! HA HA

Just speak english to him. Speak slow and make him learn. My husband even has the slang down pat. He watches TV in english over there. Shows like Big Bang Theory and Friends. It helps him so he doesn't lose it ! He's been back in CR since Nov 2011 and since we talk everyday and he watches english TV shows, he hasn't lost anything.

We all need a CC by Friday. That would put us in the running for July scheduling.

How long does it take for the NVC to ship the file after they schedule an interview? Do the ship it right out? A day or two? or do they hold on to it to get one last jab ?
