does anyone find it annoying that the Choice of agent form is called ds-261 and Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application is called ds-260?

since we fill out choice of agent form first, maybe it should be named ds-260 and Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application been ds-261...maybe there's a reason it's that way and maybe not...lol

I got approved at the LDN embassy yesterday! I just wanted to drop by and say thanks so much for all your help, particularly at NVC stage. I can't believe how stressed I made myself over the process when in actual fact it turned out to be pretty straight forward.

I'll stick around and try to help others.

My case was completed today as NVC received my package on April 29. #fckyeah

Thank you - spirit is building up. It's 13 months 17 days since I started this process thanks to USCIS sluggishness. The NVC process I think is a complete waste of time for everyone (all they do is receive, verify, compile documents and say this "you have to wait 30 days bullcrap"). The process can be simplified by having NOA2 notification sent directly to the embassy from USCIS and have the beneficiary take all necessary documents to the embassy for interview.

Congratulations, but that would make the process efficient and they like it this way. They have perfected their nonsense.

Well it's not exactly a cover page but this is what it looks like. It's not needed for anything, meaning you don't have to send it in to the NVC. It's just a confirmation page to show that you submitted the DS-260 online. You can print it out to bring to the interview to prove that your DS-260 was completed electronically if you want.

bro could u please tell me if we need to use the same bar code sheet for both AOS and IV package ?

Each one has their own Bar-Code. I don't know much yet but this I have read on our Saylin's Wiki on the first page.

PLEASE read the wiki.. It's amazing what you can find out by just simply reading... If you sent all the documents with your I-130.. I hope they weren't originals, as they asked for just copies..

2nd question if the beneficiary doesn't have the PCC .. is that ll be matter or cant take one at interview?

Once again.. read the wiki.. Read it 5-10 times if you need to, or as advice given, get a lawyer. If you don't have a PCC though chances are you're going to get a checklist and it's going to delay your case even more.

Two factors: the new website interface (especially the fact that "pay now" shows up immediately and is clickable, even though the bills are not payable) and the fact that this year's diversity visas just became eligible for processing.

Which is awesome. *sarcasm dripping*. First we wait for the DACAs to go ahead of us at USCIS, and now the DVs are swarming NVC. I really hope my IV fees are invoiced tomorrow. It's been 10 days since I did ds261, and we were down south this past weekend but our joint sponsor hasn't finished her part of the AOS package so we're stuck. And, apparently, I'm getting a little b**chy.

Ha, loved the ending part of getting a little B**chy. I stayed away from my wife at a safe distance, and threw chocolate at her while she was organised all the paperwork .

I just checked. Diversity Visa applicants do use the same CEAC portal to file their DS-260 forms. However, their documents are reviewed by the Kentucky service center, including interview scheduling which is delayed till the start of the next fiscal year beginning in October.
