Ok guys i need a suggestion. We recently got a checklist only because my husband left one space blank and didnt write N/A so seeing how you can get a checklist even because of such petty issues I was wondering if I need to send in a print out WITH MY CIVIL DOCS saying that according to travel.state.gov I do not require a PCC for Saudi Arabia OR Pakistan? Should I? Because we cannot afford any more delay we are already waiting for our consulate change email's reply since the 31st of march

hi anybody know how long it will take to change the case number?the file is still at NVC and we want to change the case number as they gave us a case number from a different consulate. I would appreciate if anyone can answer. Thank you.

It can take upto 1.5 month whatever consulate you want you will have to ask the beneficiary to email NVCinquiry abt the whole situation and with that email send an attachment proving that he/she is legally eligible to proceed with the process in the new CONSULATE COUNTRY

Question for everyone who's paid their AOS and IV fees already:

On the CEAC our fees are now showing as paid, but neither the payment receipts button at the bottom or the receipts tab at the top are working. Is it a glitch or do you have to wait a day or two after it shows paid to get a receipt? Can I just print a screencap in the meantime in case there's any discrepancy over whether its paid or not?

We had ours active immediately after the payment, also we had the cover sheets, and the status changed 'paid" in 2 days. Did you try different browser?

Got our case number on the 1st of May! Yay! Waiting for DS-261 and AOS bill ;)

I have a question, my passport is still process (for the change of civil status and last name thingy) and it's going to take a month, I have a copy of my old passport with my maiden name(its expiry is on 2017), can I use it for the IV package? and when I get my passport with my married name, I can just bring it to me at the interview?

4am and I can't sleep. So upset about this visa #######. I feel like I can't get a break. I'm doing everything right. And it's still taking forever. Why the #### are they giving me such a hard time? God I could scream! I send in a certified copy of my marriage cert and they say it's only notarized. If they took 10 seconds of their ###### time to read the goddam paper they'd see CERTIFIED COPY printed on it.

I'm so frustrated. Why can't I catch a ###### break? Why can't I be done with NVC in a month? Why can't I be done with USCIS in less that TEN MONTHS???!!!! Why can't they not #### my life over just one goddamn time???!!!!

Yep, I barely slept last night either. I am sick over this. Their instructions state ORIGINAL OR CERTIFIED COPY.. so they have the original birth cert from 34 years ago on yellow legal sized paper with stamps and everything on it. You can't put that kind of paper in a copy machine and get a copy like that. Since they went ahead and checklisted me for the police cert even though it is NOT required at NVC I can only assume a monkey was processing my case and they have no idea what an original birth cert looks like from Costa Rica. UGHHHHH

The supervisor told me he is removing the police cert checklist item because it is NOT required and he said he doesn't even know why they even asked for it. My husband even called the embassy and they told him to wait until they receive the file at the embassy and he gets the instructions before he gets the police cert. 3 agents at NVC told me the same thing.. so why can't they read their own instructions on what is required in the IV package. #######????

Husband is on his way right now to the registry. He is hoping he will get there before the lines form. The to Paseo Colon for the Fedex store. What a waste of time

just called in NVC, our AOS packet received on 28th and IV packet received on 30th. i'm worried about the checklist... in HK, PCC is sent directly to the consulate, so NVC won't be able to receive it. the lady i talked to before said we will get a checklist for it and she said we can just ignore it. but will it delay the case complete? if someone gets a checklist does it delay case complete?
