Okay guys, a little confused. I downloaded form I-864 and began to fill it out. In the section where you mark who you will be sponsoring, there is already a "1" marked that is not editable where it says "Persons you will not be sponsoring: Yourself" on Page 4 - Part 5 - Question 2

Now the problem is, when I save this document, the copy it makes does not have a "1" marked there nor will it allow me to enter one. Am I the only one having this issue?

CanGirl Is the DS-260 not electronically sent like the DS-261? If so why in heavens name do you have a cover or bar code for it? Just curious at this point.

Well it's not exactly a cover page but this is what it looks like. It's not needed for anything, meaning you don't have to send it in to the NVC. It's just a confirmation page to show that you submitted the DS-260 online. You can print it out to bring to the interview to prove that your DS-260 was completed electronically if you want.

Called NVC, after been place on hold for 36minutes, I spoke with a lady called Abbey or Abbi and was told they received my case file April 28th but no case number yet, told me to wait for the usual 30 days. So sad......

You may get case number on May 27th or 28th.. don't feel sad my VJ friend.

AOS received by nvc: 30th april. Completed DS 260: 1st May. IV Packet received by NVC: 2nd May. Today I received a false checklist for AOS. My husband called yesterday they said it was a false checklist and packets are under review. So Does that mean that AOS was accepted and reviewing DS260 and IV packet? Here is the checklist

Thank you for replying Yup, I heard you get an automatic extension as well, but we filed for extension anyways, since it's more likely to be October than August when we can finally file taxes. So in all likelihood we won't have 2013 transcripts even for the interview. The embassy at least should understand this, hopefully

We decided to now add 2013 $0, 2012 $0 and 2011 0$ for part 6. and hope that the letter for 2013 explains it well enough. We attached 2010 tax transcript just in case they do want the info for that year as well. We'll see what kind of checklists we get, if we get them... fingers crossed we won't!

I also am filing from overseas and my current job will end when I move to the US. Of course, I put total income as $0, but the way you phrased your post, it sounds like you are actually writing $0 in the fields for Part 6, 13a 13b and 13c. Is this correct? I know that foreign earned income doesn’t count towards showing proof of income for being a sponsor but don’t we still need to put exactly what it says on our tax transcripts in Part 6, 13a 13b and 13c? Or am I just misunderstanding what you meant?

2nd question if the beneficiary doesn't have the PCC .. is that ll be matter or cant take one at interview?

Beneficiary's passport; as he is the one submitting the application, even though you're helping him complete it.

If he is 24, he has to register with the Selective Service. I think he has to do it once he is in the US, but I am not sure.

80% of what you include should be recent (since the i-130). the rest can be older.

I'm sure you threw in a ton of evidence with the i-130.

All that evidence (including the actual approved i-130 petition) will travel with the IV and AOS packets AND this new evidence that you're including - in that one big DHL packet.

So, it makes sense to only emphasise new salient evidence - to demonstrate an ONGOING bona fide relationship .

The key there is ONGOING.

My I-130 was approved in 22 days, so for me, there really isn’t anything else to include. Do you think it is OK to not include any additional proof? I plan to bring extra stuff to my wife’s interview but I can’t think of anything I can send with the IV packet that is more recent than the I-130…
