I didn't know that we have to put a cover page on the iv packet. I did not do so and realize it now.

Does anyone have any knowledge as to what will happen to my case? I hope they don't loose my original documents and that it doesn't get delayed.

Your thoughts?

Maybe I should make a separate thread for this, but it have a question about matching names. My husband's mother's maiden name appears on our marriage certificate and on his birth certificate and police certificate. The native alphabet for her name is Arabic, and the "sh" sound in it is transliterated differently on different documents, either as "sh" or as "ch" (because of French influence and different practices of translators). Is this a problem that some papers have her name one way and some another?

Should I include an explanatory note, or will I definitely get a checklist for this?

You shouldn't have an issue. My husband's father's middle name is Richard and we filled out all the documentation with it, only to realize that it was recorded as Mitchell on the birth certificate! We assumed we could explain the error at interview time if need be but it was never brought up at all. Your discrepancy is even smaller, so don't stress :) Edited by BOS_LHR

Your thoughts?

You do not need cover sheet. It is nice to have one. You are OK as long as you have attached bar code cover page. So do not worry and Relax!

thats what I meant, I am missing the bar code cover page.

Although my packet has the print out of the confirmation of DS 260 which has a bar code.

You think that might be ok?

I can't wait to reach out to NVC but lines are busy

For IV documents you needed to attach the DS 260 bar code sheet, which you did hence don't worry. That is the cover sheet you needed to attach. Which other cover sheet are you talking about?

when you log in online with your case number and invoice number, there is an option at the bottom which says "print cover sheet"

I did do that for my AOS, but didn't realize there has to be one for IV documents also. Did you attach yours?

Yes you need to include the IV cover sheet that is printed from the receipt page. I don't know what will happen with your documents if you didn't include it. You did include the DS-260 one and that has the case number on it so they should be able to match it up with your file. Praying that they are able to match it up for you.

I've given up on waiting for acceptance email, I don't know if it's a problem with the information I provided in the initial email or something else but they don't seem to have a record of it. I'm just going to email my documents in when they are ready to go. (Problems with joint sponsors and petitioners documents - don't ask  )

I am waiting for my long birth certificate, thanks to VJ I realized I had the short version and I don't want a checklist. Hopefully I will get it this week and my lawyer will send also IV package and the DS-260. I know how hard is when you have to count on others, I am waiting from my brother to send me the birth certificate. I do understand you and I know how frustrating is. Maybe will meet at the interview in Montreal ;) . Where do you live?

Ok I have to ask because I'm totally confused, some people say they sent their AOS which I was under the impression is the first one you send and some are saying they sent the IV first which is it please I need to know so my husband can send me the documents needed for the IV. I thought I had a little more time to get those.:wacko::unsure:(F)(L)(F) Thank you for any help you can give me.

The AoS fee is invoiced almost at the same time as DS261 is ready.

Once you pay AoS fee, print the bar code and send the AoS packet. Don't wait for it to show PAID. NVC will not get to review it until it shows PAID anyway. but you can wait for it.

But with the IV fee, it is invoiced after DS261 is accepted. Once you pay the IV fee, print the bar code sheet and send the packet immediately. The later packet will usually determine when you get a CC.

You can ask your husband to send you the IV docs now, as you have almost two weeks before you need to send them (about two weeks for the IV fee to be invoiced).

Good luck
