Little misunderstanding. I'm the beneficiary and my husband is the petitioner. He moved from US to Poland, cause at the beginning of our journey together we wanted to stay in Europe.

Anyway, i'm tired of this process. Want to start my new life asap.

Oh yes sorry I misread your post! But as you said the whole process is so tiring even when we have our husbands/wives by our side. It's like we can't really move on and make concrete plans... Anyway, best of luck to you!!

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

Waiting....

Posted (edited)

I had mentioned earlier that I was gonna take a hiatus from my frequent NVC phone calls. So I broke the streak today. I made the phone call and had the longest wait ever, before one of the operators came on and told me that it will not be long before my case is complete. Why? I calmly asked, and she said its because they were revewing April 26th mails (It was a Saturday) and she noted that my I864W was received on May1. I wonder how many days they take to review an average day's mail. Time will tell..... crossed fingers and toes.

They must be doing a couple days at a time, because someone got a case complete today (CONGRATS) and the last document sent in was received on April 28th.

Or the Agent was lying.

*Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it, NVC doesn't receive mail on Saturdays! Unless they only receive packets via regular mail? My AOS was sent overnight on a Friday and NVC was not available to accept the package so it was re-delivered on Monday. I stick with option 2, Agent Liar Pants lol

I have the most wonderful news...CASE COMPLETE!!!

The wait had been long and tormenting but we like many have passed the test..

Luckily dint have any checklists but they did confirm june interviews are filled.

All of you are in our prayers and im waiting to see more good news.

I had been a silent watcher here but many of you helped me in the most needed times. Thanks to my VJ family.

Congratulations!!! :dancing::dance::jest:

I hope and pray that's true. My docs were received April 29th and I still have not heard anything. No checklist, no case complete, nothing

Same boat as you guys, and same dates too. No checklists, no nothing!

Hey guys, this is a good sign for you as well. ariendj submitted the last packet around the same date as you both did, so you should be hearing news pretty soon.

Good Luck!

Just got my NVC case number today (or yesterday, not sure. Didn't have it last Friday either way). Anyway, I got the case number and IIN number. My attorney has been notified as well. I just sent the enroll e-mail but I've been hearing that it takes awhile for them to even get around to enrolling you -_- Anyway, anyone have a recent example to go off of?

We are an MTL beneficiary, so I sent the "ENROLL MTLXXXXXXXXX" e-mail to the NVCElectronic e-mail and received the following response:

This email is an auto response. Please do not respond.

Being in AP previously doesn't exclude you from AP in the future. It's a case-by-case basis.

But, hopefully you won't have to go through it again, or not as long anyways.

You're absolutely right Saylin. I just went through my old emails and "discovered" that I was actually put into AP for 5 weeks for the previous J1 visa. The later 13-month AP for the B1/B2 visa must've completely driven it out of my mind!

Will I be breaking a record if I went into AP for a third time?

Not sure, don't follow number of times in AP :P Most people here just apply for and come on the one visa ;)
