I called this morning (been trying to get through since yesterday lol). ANYHOO they have my AOS and IV packets but they have not been reviewed yet. She said it can take up to 30 days bla bla bla.

I told her I realized the website had some updates over the weekend and will the status of my civil documents change from N/A to 'reviewed/check list/accepted'? She had no clue what I was talking about and asked me three times what site was I trying to access the information.

So I explained again, I told her on th CEAC site, there used to be pretty green check marks but now those are gone. Instead it states "N/A" for my civil documents and it confused me as I know they're at NVC. She confirmed there were changes but other than that has no clue about the details of the updates and says she doesn't think the status will change from "N/A" to anything else.

How lovely of them to update their web site and then not explain the changes to their customer service reps so they can then explain the changes to customers. The Agent was nice overall and sounded genuinely perplexed!

Thanks so much! Let's get our Interviews out of the way and move on with our lives like those fortunate ones before us :luv:

Thank you! :luv:

When I called last week and NVC reported the 'missing' PCC, I explained that I know it was included, and the rep started the Supervisor review for me... I didn't even ask! But I'm so glad she thought of it, because I was too stunned to consider that option.

There was also apparently 'something' in the mailroom as per the rep, so that had to be the missing PCC I figured.

My email checklist came the next day and I sent in another copy of the PCC anyways, but I doubt they have even scanned that in yet as it only arrived there Friday morning, so I'm pretty sure they found the original.

Congratulations on your case complete! What do you think they're going to do with those extra police certificates now? :)

Happy graduation to him! Saying goodbye is the very worst, but thankfully you'll be able to move to the US soon to be with him. I've never regretted moving to Algeria to wait with my husband, even though the standard of living is low, and I'm not able work or go to school, or really even go outside by myself. I'm with you, it's heartbreaking the way that families are separated and there's no way to get around it.

Did he have to do that OFII medical visit thing? I accidentally missed mine... twice, and never did it. I heard that the town halls offer language lessons for free. Good going, France.

Thank youuu for him! Living in a different country is always an adventure, and going there for the love of your life makes it even more special, it's also a good opportunity to learn about the other's culture (I made my husband eat ALL type of cheese!). And this is also a nice tale to tell your children! :-)

Haha for your OFII appointment, we thought about missing it in purpose (basically to avoid paying the 241 euros fee!) But we got scared and went anyway! ;-)

(VJ friends, sorry for my off topic posts!)

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   :energy: :energy:

I called at 1140 EST thinking there's no way I'll get through before they drop all calls, but at 1208 (gosh I forget who she was now  ), the rep answered!! :D And they 'FOUND' my police certificate upon review by the supervisor, probably that 'piece of mail still listed in the mailroom' - which I assume fell off the package when they opened it to scan the barcoded sheet...

I asked her if they could possibly still be doing June interviews and she wasn't sure, but that's better than a definite 'NO'

Anyways, I'm so happy!! My heart is pounding, and I wish this feeling very soon for each of you!!! :luv:

That why um thinking of a lowyer

So many people here will be able to provide advice and help you through the 864. Read the instruction package on the USCIS website, do what you can first, then come ask us what confuses you

Congratulations!! :dancing::dancing:

Thanks!! And thank you again for your incredible efforts that have colored VJ and the kind of forum it is today :luv:

You know, I came here to VJ to read and reply to all of your VJ'er messages before even reading my email responses from family and friends!! That's because each and every one of you understand more than they ever could.

Oh my goodness!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up and saw this wonderful news!!!! You must feel so relieved and ecstatic.

People around the same dates as me are moving on with Case Completes and I'm still stuck behind. This is fun lol.

Did you end up sending a new Police Certificate and instead they just found the original one?

Thank you!! And I am beyond excited, not sure how I'll function at work today :goofy:

About the PCC, I explained a few minutes ago in a response to MsGoyave what I believe transpired. Whatever the case may be, it's done. If I find out whether it was the original or else the new one, I'll mention it here.

Please have the fortune of moving ahead this week too!!

This is such a relief that they finally fixed their own mistake! We should add a tracker to each documents and send them the GPS localization in case they misplace a paper ;-) Good luck with the interview date!!

Oh yay!!! So happy for you! Congrats! I suppose that's why Saylin recommends putting your case # on everything! ( you did put your case # on all docs right? ). Lol!!!! Enjoy your day!!!! :)

Thanks! And regarding the case number, I sure did!!

Looking forward to congratulating you on your Visa! :P

She asked for a supervisor review and they found the police cert during that review. Checklists are taking 2-3 weeks to review. She was lucky they found it and didn't have to wait for the checklist to be reviewed.

Please Please may this week give you a reason to cheer!!!! :luv:

Well, before I go to bed, I pulled an all nighter again today just wanted to let those waiting for Case numbers to know I just called NVC spoke to Shelley not a happy person but not rude or nasty. She gave me my case number and invoice number said it was put into the system today. So yay! :)(F)(L)(F)

I second that, so sorry for the off topic posts! I know where you're coming from about the cheese... my husband worked as a fish vendor/chef and so I tried all kinds of fish and seafood (we met because I bought oysters from him one day at the market.) We had the best time living in France -- we were both immigrants, so everything was a discovery. He'll get to do it all over again in the US.

No one ever noticed that I didn't have the stamp in my passport from the OFII visit, not even when we applied to get married! I couldn't believe it. Gosh it's too pricey.

The Agent was nice overall and sounded genuinely perplexed!

hahaha, I bet VJ'ers will educate them more than the NVC :P

Good luck and hopefully they get to your review soon!

Congratulations on your case complete! What do you think they're going to do with those extra police certificates now? :)

Well if what the rep said is accurate, they'll just add it to the case file, but who knows -maybe they have annual 'extra document bonfire parties'?
