She asked for a supervisor review and they found the police cert during that review. Checklists are taking 2-3 weeks to review. She was lucky they found it and didn't have to wait for the checklist to be reviewed.

Thanks a lot! Well then 2-3 weeks it will be (I had still a tiny hope deep inside lol). I hope they will fix your case quickly lovemytico (fingers crossed)!

My husband and I lived in France and got married there, but he's Algerian. We thought about going through the US immigration process in France, but decided to move to Algeria because my student visa for France was going to expire. I even visited the US consulate in Paris while getting marriage documents and was able to ask a few questions. From what I gathered, the proof of relationship will probably be more important to your case than questions they might have about your Tunisian nationality. After all, a French consulate won't work like a MENA one. If they were to require AP, it might be for a missing document or something like that. That's just my take on it. And of course it depends on the case, the consular officer, etc...

Oh wow you are so right, I didn't think it through, I am relieved now (roller coaster in my head!). Our relationship proofs are strong enough so hopefully there won't be any issue (I am always expecting the worse). I feel so unlucky that we went through the USCIS backlog and that it's been 13 months we are waiting. I am thankful though my husband had been able to stay these last few months in France with me (the whole visa process was so quick and easy! Thanks again for your response!

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

Well, before I go to bed, I pulled an all nighter again today just wanted to let those waiting for Case numbers to know I just called NVC spoke to Shelley not a happy person but not rude or nasty. She gave me my case number and invoice number said it was put into the system today. So yay! :)(F)(L)(F)

I called this morning to check our case status. We sent the checklist reply on April 30th ( Electronic Processing). I was told that we need to wait for 30 business days for checklist review. I requested to talk to supervisor but he was too rude and of no help. Same 30 business day ratting. This is ridiculous. EP was supposed to speed up the process. I see that VJers who opted snail mail are getting case complete.

Pas de soucis! Hope you'll get your case complete and interview soon. Is your husband going to the interview with you?

Unfortunately he won't, he is graduating next week and will fly back to the US to start his job in 2 weeks. I got so used to his presence that I know it's going to be difficult, it makes me so sad that some couples have been separated for more than a year. Funny thing, today he had his medical examination (he was forced to have it even though he is leaving soon...) and we found out that the government was going to offer him free French lessons. He was so disappointed he couldn't attend haha. Immigration process in France is not the best but gosh it made me realize how bad was the US one! Edited by MsGoyave

Happy graduation to him! Saying goodbye is the very worst, but thankfully you'll be able to move to the US soon to be with him. I've never regretted moving to Algeria to wait with my husband, even though the standard of living is low, and I'm not able work or go to school, or really even go outside by myself. I'm with you, it's heartbreaking the way that families are separated and there's no way to get around it.

Did he have to do that OFII medical visit thing? I accidentally missed mine... twice, and never did it. I heard that the town halls offer language lessons for free. Good going, France.

When I called last week the lady told me 30 days from that date! Not from when they received my mail, she was like "so maybe at the end of June." I was like hell nah!

I think I'll call today when I get home from work.

CONGRATULATIONS

Thanks so much! Let's get our Interviews out of the way and move on with our lives like those fortunate ones before us :luv:

CONGRATULATIOOONS! So happy for you! You must be thrilled! The checklist review went very fast for you, did you ask for a supervisor review (even though they say it takes 30 days), then sent back the paper they lost? Or did you just respond to the checklist?

Good luck for the June interview, who knows maybe they are still scheduling or maybe you there will be a cancelation! :-)

Thank you! :luv:

When I called last week and NVC reported the 'missing' PCC, I explained that I know it was included, and the rep started the Supervisor review for me... I didn't even ask! But I'm so glad she thought of it, because I was too stunned to consider that option.

There was also apparently 'something' in the mailroom as per the rep, so that had to be the missing PCC I figured.

My email checklist came the next day and I sent in another copy of the PCC anyways, but I doubt they have even scanned that in yet as it only arrived there Friday morning, so I'm pretty sure they found the original.
