OMG!!! Guys!!! I had my hubby to call his embassy today to ask for an earlier date

Aaaaannnnnddddd............. They moved it from June 16th to June 5th!!!!! I'm so incredibly excited! I know it's only 11 days but it makes it so much easier for us as far as traveling and work and stuff! Yay!!! Whooooo hoooooooo!

I just wanted to share my experience here with you guys and hope it helps. Since the NVC # keeps having "busy signal" when you call (that's probably a lot of us have experienced automatic hangup due to busy); this is what I did, once I got a notice from USCIS stating that my case was mailed to NVC, I called NVC but bad luck, kept getting hungup. So I actually emailed NVC @ "nvcinquiry@state.gov" regarding my case. They are very slow on replying, it takes 20-30 days for them to respond but that's around the time you should get your case # and invoice ID #. So if you guys want to try what I did, it might be quicker to get case # and invoice # instead of calling except for those who applied for expedite. It's worth trying, hope this helps! but Correct me if I'm wrong. and good luck to all of us

4/08/2014, I emailed NVC about my case

5/03/2014, NVC responded stating my case was received on 4/16/2014

5/13/2014, NVC actually emailed me again about my old inquiry and provided me the case # and Invoice ID #

5/16/2014, Form DS-261 portal was available and completed, about 5-6 hours after completed DS-261, AOS fee was available and paid.

Yes.. It seems like false checklist for AOS packets. Your documents is already their and they might found already and start working on it.

If your AOS is accepted than you will have case complete soon.

I am getting 30 days standard answer everyday I called.

"Scanned into the system" means it was received by NVC and now it is in the queue to be reviewed.

It akes a little more than 2 weeks now, 2 or 3 more days after the 2 week mark.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. I guess I was just a little confused by the terminology.

How long from this message:

"This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."

Can I expect to be able to have my AOS or anything for that matter invoiced. It's been almost a week :/

You should able to pay your AOS fees within 1 or two days.

Hey Vj family just checking in

Sooo last week WED i got a checklist called and it was documents already sent.

I called back on friday to see if my civil documents were checked inn.

The lady said yes they where om friday then she.tells me i wi get.a checklist.

Well it came today. Open it and its for civil documents.

So i call she says to ignore it

What since does this make??? This is why you cant get any

One on the phone. I was not planning to call until next we spare my self!!

They just work backwards. Send me an email when you need something or when my case is complere
