Now that my husband has announced it via his own post to the CR1 forum -- I wanted him to have the pleasure of breaking the news since he endured the stress of the interview! -- I'm happy to share with you lovely people that his visa was approved this morning :D:dancing:

Sending good vibes to everyone waiting and suffering right now. NVC is tough times lately :( I know there are a bunch of you waiting for imminent case completes, I'm keeping fingers crossed for you!

Your nightmare has ended!! Many congrats to you and your husband!!! :D

Thank you for the feedback!! :)

Yes that is the goal. I will wait until they invoice me for AOS and see if IRS has my transcripts ready by then, if not then I will just mail in paper 2013 return + W2. Will see what happens after that..I am also going to mail 2012 & 2011 transcripts. It is out of my control at this point. :(

Be sure to send a W2 even if you send transcripts, so that it's clear what portion of the joint tax filing was by your joint sponsor. I'm certain I've seen that clearly stated here on VJ somewhere.

*sigh* Feeling worried. I heard back from my senator concerning the certified marriage certificate and she said they can't do anything until they open my mail from May 7th. That bums me out because 1- that means they haven't opened it yet, and 2- the scans I sent in were not good enough to accept the marriage certificate. I'm so worried they'll issue another checklist for the same damn thing I've sent four times now. I told the senator to please have the NVC case worker contact the county to confirm how they issue certified copies. We'll see.

That sux ! what do you mean by " not good enough to accept the marriage certificate"? Are they not seeing the certification? Or did you only send copies of a scan?

after I read your post 15 more times... you just mean they aren't good enough for NVC?

BTW.. My mail is in my file but the supervisor has yet to look at the file... same old story !

I scanned my certified copy and emailed it to my senator so she could send it to her "contact". I've sent NVC my certified copy twice now. This is what she emailed me:

"I spoke with my contact today. Even with the attachments that you sent, they couldn’t confirm the validity of this document. They will have to wait until the packet you sent on May 7th is opened so they can make a final determination"

I'm starting to get worried about my EP enroll email. I sent it on April 18 and I still have not received a confirmation. Today is May 19. They say it takes 30 days for email to be read. Is that 30 business days or 30 regular days? Do you think I should call and get a supervisor to check on it? I'm scared they will tell me no and that I have to wait longer.

Problem is when I sent it I wrote that my surname was the same as my husband's but in their records it is still my maiden name. Does that mean I have to send my ENROLL email again with my maiden name instead? I should probably just call NVC and ask. I may have just cost myself 30 days :(

SOOOO STUPID... same thing with my husbands birth cert. they kept telling me its not the original.. so I sent my husband to the city to get one from the Registry.. Now when I call , they tell me they have the translation but no birth cert... I keep saying " you have it, you just won't accept it" Open my mail and there you will find what you asked for.

Its with a supervisor... ( probably one who's on vacation this week) Your mail is one day before mine !! WE ARE SO CLOSE !!! I will be calling after 5 pm today... The last 3 supervisor reviews were completed in 2 days. Now they decide to drag their feet!

Hi everyone!

Some questions I have ( i want to confirm) on the I864

Part 3 question 1:

It states " I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2," do I and my joint sponsor check yes, correct?

part 6: sponsor's income and employment

question 5: current individual income is for THIS year 2014, correct? and I figure that out by taking how much my joint sponsor makes in 40 hours and multiple that by 52 weeks?

part 6. sponsor's income and employment

for 13a,b,c do I use total income line 22 on the tax return for all three years?

underneath question 5 where it states person 1, person 2, etc. do I include anyone on there? for example, my sister will be my joint sponsor, so when I am filling out my i864, do I add her information on person 1? or no

thanks for the help everyone :)

Does it take time for the Iv package fee to actually be available to pay when it is already available???

I got an email from nvc saying to pay the Iv fee, but when I sign in click pay..there is no select option for it and it says $0.00 for it, but there is a select option for the aos package which I already paid for. Does it take time to be selectable?

Dear mine is same as your's,,,,Aos comes paid today...bt there isn't any selection in IV...so i think we need to wait 1 or 2 days so it will come... :)
