Called today around 6pm and spoke to Jim. He made it clear that due to my checklist there is a delay In completing my case. Yea Jim, I'm totally aware. Thanks.

No news of course. I'm trying to stay postive. Promised myself I wouldn't hit rock bottom again. But it's so hard.

When do they start scheduling July interviews? Beginning of June?

Ok guys..please correct me if I'm wrong...DS 261 is filled by the beneficiary, which is my husband...will it be ok if I fill this form and submit it, on behalf of my husband...or will be be considered not legal or right? Just wanted to check its ok or not...please help..thanks in advance!!

The 28th of last Month

ok i found the mistake on the return where the tax transcripts do not have the cents but the W2 does have the cents ....the checklist was for a .07 difference

Should i just not add the .07 cents on the 1-864 ???

and can i know just fill out the i-864ez now and mail it to them with the checklist instead of the regular i-864

It is painful to get a checklist. We got a similar checklist. You need to make sure that you send make a rift correction. If you used filed taxes by using 1040 form the you need to put. ( total gross income - line 22) if you filed taxes by using 1040 EZ then you need to write ' Adjusted Gross income'. You need to write exactly same amount as per your tax return or tax transcript. We sent reply to checklist on April 30 the and still waiting for response. It was a minor issue but NVC goes by book. This checklist added one additional month in our Visa journey.

Do not rush to respond. Send correct response and re-send all nine pages of I-864.

After waiting 5 weeks for NVC to receive our file, we got our case # 2 days later. Quick question, are the IIN and BIN usually assigned at the same time? They said that info wasn't available.

Keep calling until you get it. You will need the Case # and IIN to log in to CEAC portal.

should I just hand write the address? will that be a problem?

You can hand write it or, what I did, put a star and put see attachment on the form and then typed up the address on a separate page and attached it, had no problems with that part.

Yes petitioner can fill it out, they usually do.

Thanks Saylin, I know I should probably re-read it, which i did but i guess I'm getting really nervous now, thinking about not to make any mistakes...I even have the WIKI info printed out and carry it with me all the time...thank you for all your effort...

Why NVC take so long to invoice the IV fee???????????????? AOS fee showed paid since may 10... cant wait anymore .....

Why NVC take so long to invoice the IV fee???????????????? AOS fee showed paid since may 10... cant wait anymore .....

IIRC, the IV only gets invoiced after the DS261 gets reviewed and accepted. That's how they know where to send the IV bill and instructions. HTH

You the petitioner can absolutely fill-in the DS-261 and later DS-260. They know applicants in many parts of the world may not have great Internet connections or no Internet at all.
