Email to attorney with both AOS/IV invoices and instructions received 5/15.

Still can't login to payment portal on 5/16.

I haven't seen any other mention of waiting 1-3 business days for the emailed invoiced fees to become "ready". It seems the first steps at NVC are different when using an attorney though.

when using an attorney, you skip DS261 and Aos and IV fees are invoiced at the same time.

lately, people mentioned the delay after they receive the email.

Thanks! I've looked on this thread and not found any mentions of this delay after receiving the email. Can you point me some of these posts?

Spoke to NVC today (don't remember the girl's name) - thought I'd report in case it helps anyone. When we filed our petition, we used my married name, but my passport was still in my maiden name. When we received our AOS info, it has my maiden name.

Apparently, this is not something that will be fixed just through me sending in my IV documents using my new name. I actually had to send in a separate email with the scan of my new passport (to the NVCinquiry address) specifically asking that my name be updated to match my passport.

I thought there must be more of us who sent in the petition before they completed the name change process, so I hope this helps!

That I had to send them an email requesting it to be changed to match my passport. The person I talked to (didn't catch his name) sounded really annoyed and rude. I won't be calling during the day again. The night people are so much nicer.

You don't need to bother doing that you know. The visa (and thus green card) will be issued in whatever name is in the passport. Doesn't matter what name is used on the paperwork, it all comes down to the passport.

I'm only reporting what I read at some point.

You can call NVC and they will tell you it takes up to 2 weeks after you get the email.

file is with a supervisor. The screen showed that more mail was received on the 12th. I told Kendall they better check on that because I only sent one package and it was scanned on the 8th. She put me on hold and asked the supervisor ( she told me she is new there) Came back and told me that the scan on the 12th is actually them scanning the mail into the file and now it is waiting for the supervisor to look at it. So... I will call back tonight to get my last call in before the dreaded weekend.

Still don't have my car back... 7 days at the mechanic... it only needs one thing and the part was not delivered until today.. At least I hope so. I'm home cleaning my closet ( making room for my honey) Its pouring rain in the Philly Burbs... what an ugly day !! I really want to fly to Costa Rica... I don't care if its winter down there right now... I MISS MY HUSBAND

Thanks. Using google to search the thread, I've found mentions of delays accessing the payment portal after the case # is assigned but nothing after the fees are invoiced by email.

Hopefully this will sort itself out.

Oh well what do you know... Just after I submitted that last post, I was finally able to login to the payment portal.

It took exactly 20 hours after receiving the email with the invoices and instructions.

Now let's try and pay these fees...

I am trying to get clear on this I-864A for a friend. They have a co-sponsor and they got a checklist NVC wants the husband to also fill out a I-864a we are going back and forth on who fills what on the A form. Seems cut and dry to me but on Part 2 thats the Co-sponsor or Sponsor that they are talking of?

Part 3 we know is the husband of co-sponsor who is the household member.

Can someone help me with this dilemma: I can't figure out if my wife needs the HIB shot (Haemophilus Influenzae Type B) or not. On the website in Saylin's guide that shows age appropriate shots it says she doesn't need it because she's over the age of 18. But then you go to this link www.uscis.gov/news/questions-and-answers/vaccination-requirements and it claims that she needs them all but doesn't mention any age category, only showing a blanket list. Any help?

My case: the doctors appointed by the Embassy/Consulate will tell you what's needed!

I'm pretty sure they will tell you ALL vaccines listed are needed so that you pay top dollars, but I'd rather pay for all the shots even if not needed than being turned down at the interview.
