Almost a month now and still can not go byond the DS261 step, due to my embassy change request email I sent a month ago I had to waste a month of my time, every time I call they tell me they still working on it and I will not be able to go anyfurther until they review the request which may take God knows how long, this process is just a joke??

Prague is beautiful and def more romantic than overrated Paris. I'm in love love love with this city. I spent there 10 days with my husband (boyfriend back then ;) and had time of my life.

We stayed here: http://www.booking.com/hotel/cz/downtown-suites.pl.html

Great prices, comfort, good location - tram is right behind the corner and you can easy get to the downtown, many good restaurants around.

I recommend to use trams and subway, fast, easy and cheap (~ 16$ for 3 days pass)

If you need to use a cab look for AAA company, they don't cheat.

If you need any other info message me :)

Yes i know but i expected a checklist. My father-in-law is not very organized person.

Corrected AOS is on its way to NVC already. :)

We were looking at prices for the metro system and were shocked at how cheap they were! We're staying at the Barceló Praha (paid for with rewards miles!) for 5 days. I've been looking at photos and can't wait to be there! My husband and I have even started to learn a bit of Czech!

It looks like there are "experienced" visa filers here. Me too!

My partner and I immigrated to Canada 11 years ago. We got the visa quickly and CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) even waived the immigration interview!

Needless to say, I won't be applying for immigration again after this experience of trying to immigrate to the US. LOL

After about 8 months waiting for noa2 I decided we should just move somewhere else. A job opportunity in the Czech Republic came up so I was looking up visas. People were saying it takes a long time and complaining about the THREE MONTHS it took. Spoiled Europeans have no clue!!

Finally have a case number!! Quick question - I called up the NVC and I didn't give over my email address (apparently she already knew it because she quoted it to me and I was like, sounds right!). In any case, do I just wait for an email now? I looked over the NVC wiki and I know I'm waiting for the first form DS something or other. Do I just sit back and wait for the emails to come now?

Hello everyone,

I called NVC again this morning to ask them if my case number has been assigned. After waiting for about 40 mins, I was told that it has been assigned and when I asked for IIN number, the rep asked me back what it was, I gave her the full form of IIN. She gave me 7 digit number but told me that I won't be able to do anything with it. And she added that I have to wait for few weeks to receive email from them. I thought I had to wait for 30 days and they will give me whatever number I needed and that I would go ahead and take the next steps...I am not understanding why they're telling me to wait again? Any one here, please feel free to give me advise or share your experience...just when I thought the waiting game is almost over...It's making me angry instead and I can't do anything about it! :ranting:

It didn't post my link to the litter here is one more try.

Called

Precious Cat Cat Attract Problem Cat Training Litter, 40 pound bag :D If you have a problem with the link just copy and paste this on Amazon.com.

Hmm, not sure that would work as the new litter box uses crystals, not the regular gray litter...

Hi there,

Did you ask for IIN number? I thought we were suppose to ask if the case number has been assigned and if they can give us the IIN number...I may be wrong...and that's what I did. The rep asked me back what IIN was...and provided me 7 digit number...now that after reading your post I am thinking she probably gave me my case number...Did they provide you the actual case number? Does it include 7 digits?

Thanks

With the case # usualy comes the IIN # (Invoice Identification Number).

You need both to log in into ceac.state.gov where you can check if your DS261 and AoS fee are ready.

Usually it takes couple of days of case # is assigned for DS261 and AoS fee to be ready, but sometimes they are ready rioght away.

You can go ahead and try.

Good luck

I didn't ask for IIN cause my rep was kind of bitchy (maybe I'm just to pregnant and think everyone is bitchy LOL). I figured I can call again later and see if I get someone a bit nicer before trying to get that number.

In any case my case # looks a lot like my receipt number from USCIS - as in, it starts with 3 letters and then has some numbers.
