NVC Filers - May 2014

Hello everyone,

I'm kind of confused here, it is exactly 30 days since my case has been received by NVC, I called earlier to ask if they have assigned me a case number yet, but instead they told me that the case was last updated on Monday which is 3 days ago and told me to wait for an email from them and that would take another 2-3 weeks...I thought once the 30 days are over, they would give me INN and I can start the next steps...any one have idea? I'm more stressed out than before now....please advise. Thanks

Hello NVC May filers. I just got NoA2 yesterday after 22 days! (Filing from overseas) So, I am going to be filing NVC stuff this month. I have already begun gathering most of the documents and filling out as much of the forms that I can. This thread is pretty long so I don’t know if I will have time to read the whole thing (or at least not right away) but I will try to keep up to date on what is going on. I may also have some questions later on so thanks in advance for any help that any of you can provide.

Also, I know there is some kind of spreadsheet that has been made keeping track of people’s cases. You have my permission to add my information to it if you would like.

Unfortunately, my suggestion is another call to the NVC. Perhaps that representative was having a bad day

And it's an IIN, not an INN:)

If they received your case on 15th April you should expect them to assign a Case # anytime now. 30 days is only a rough estimate based on other's timelines. Not a guarantee. It could take a few weeks more. So the best thing will be to call them maybe twice a week at this point to find out if they have assigned a Cased # yet. You would want to know from NVC your Case # and IIN. At the same time you would want to inform them your email ID and the beneficiary's email ID.

I know exactly how you feel..UK visas for 4 years, now this! But it's going to be sooo wonderful when it's all over don't you think??

I (luckily) already live with my husband but the last three years of my life have been consumed by visa #######. First my residency here (which after a full year of "awaiting signatures" I've given up on) and the for my husband. I think when we finally cross into the USA I might breakdown into hysterical sobbing/laughter. I don't remember what it's like to not be dealing with visas. That's what you get for loving a foreigner huh??!!

It looks like there are "experienced" visa filers here. Me too!

My partner and I immigrated to Canada 11 years ago. We got the visa quickly and CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) even waived the immigration interview!

Needless to say, I won't be applying for immigration again after this experience of trying to immigrate to the US. LOL

If you had recieved this checklist before and sent it in--- then I would call them and see if they got it reviewed. how long has it been since the first notice of a checklist -?

I am getting ahead of myself here 9as usual) but I was just looking at the website for the embassy In Tegucigalpa, and it has a schedule posted for MAY interviews- looks like they schedule only Mon - Thursday but like 40 or 50 a day!!! that seems like an awful lot. interestingly though looking at the case numebrs out of the 10 pages of appointments there were only 12 cases from 2014!!! most were years old... not sure what to read into that- but it seems like they schedule a BUNCH per day!!!

Ok, now I got delayed for my silly error, I already have the package ready to be dropped off at FEDEX tomorrow morning they will get it on Monday morning- My open question is this--

when sending in items for a checklist what has the experience been on processing- I know they said it COULD be thirty days but they also insinuated it would nto be another 30 days-

what has the experience been for others who have had checklists, is it faster than the original review?

I replied to a Checklist & it was scanned in on May 5th. I'm still waiting for them to review it But there are people here who had checklists reviewed right away... Within days. Guess I'm not that lucky. Maybe you will be.

It wasn't Joy, but I can't remember what she said her name was...Andrea? Angela? I can't remember. I wanted to call back and complain but it was late and I couldn't be bothered waiting on the line for another 40 minutes :-/

I don't blame you and I am aware there is no truly wonderful job for minimum wage but at the same time they haven't the right to yell, scream and be

mean to us at all. I can see if one of us was horrible to them but I can't see that happening since we are to scared to react thinking they can stall our

cases. I hope you don't get that person again or at least maybe it was just a really horrible day for her and she is normally nice. I rarely call, maybe once a week if that, so I have had good luck finding only nice helpful, ok mostly helpful people.

Yeah, it's a self-cleaning litter box. Basically, after the cat does their business, a rake goes through and pushes the poop to the front, underneath a box. Then, about once a month for one cat, you take out the box from underneath and throw it out. On AOS bar code sheet under bar code it's mentioned like CR1. what does it mean??
