NVC Filers - May 2014

Would like some advice and some guesses. We submitted the two docents required on checklist. One form was sent April21 and scanned April 23. The other which is PCC from India ( incl the the letter and photocopy of passport with the stamp) was received on May 9 and scanned to system May 12 and pending review. So based on the information, will we get a case complete this month? Also what's the chance of a June interview? Thank you all for the assistance.

. They can refund me back the $425 for the 10 months my file was stuck there..!! We're hoping no later than August.. as we found one way tickets back to Florida for $300 per person.. Which is rare, and one way tickets tend to be more expensive than return!

We are praying for a July interview as we're going to Prague in August for our honeymoon/first anniversary!

Provided that all of your documents are correct and everything that was required, you still have a chance of getting a case complete this month. I'm guessing that if you have a case complete by the end of May, you will most likely be in line for a July interview. I am just going by what I have seen in the spreadsheets.

Not quite sure to be honest. Hopefully someone with a checklist and waited will be able to help you with that!

Oh we want a July interview.. hope we both get one!! But, to leave no later than August! Lol! I'll still have to work after the interview for another month unfortunately... possibly a trip to somewhere in Europe before we leave too! Prague is nice . Think you will enjoy it!!

Case Complete this month: most likely

June interview: Most likely not (99%). I think they are done with June.

Skyscanner . net is great. We always used them, and you can get e-mail alerts when the prices change daily on the date ranges you chose. They only send an e-mail once..!

I am itching to go on vacation with my hubby!! I think after this we deserve a second honeymoon... like a do-over, start fresh kind of thing.

That is all you paid for 3 one way tickets??? That's awesome! I was looking for my husband in July and a one way ticket for one person is nearly that price. I was thinking of buying a two way because it is cheaper. Not that I even have an interview date or anything lol.

Now is the time to start looking.

I found no savings with 2 way tickets, only limitations and complications.

There were only 4 groupings of seats left that would allow us to sit together.

I used Kayak and found the ticket, then logged in to my orbitz account and

saved the Kayak hidden add-on so the tickets were around 580 each total.

Bangkok to Lax....Cant wait to see the family on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

I am so looking forward to Prague!!! I live in Minnesota, and I've been looking at Icelandair which actually has reasonable prices for multi-destinations. If everything goes to plan and we get a July interview, I can fly from Minneapolis to London, then from Prague to Minneapolis for $1800 (the trip from London to Prague was paid for with British Airways rewards). I think my husband's one-way from Prague to Minneapolis is $800?

Thanks for that tip, jsumner - I'll look into that site, too! We're waiting to buy until we have the coveted Case Complete :-)

Has this happened to anyone? So...I got an email yesterday for a checklist for my IV packet. Apparently my marriage certificate is not the original! So I go ahead and call NVC all day!! Finally getting through at 11pm. Anyhow, I do not remember who it was that answered the call, but she was very rude and irritated from the beginning of the phone call.

I asked her why I have a checklist if I have sent in the original already, and I do not know of what else may possibly be an original. And she said, Ma'am plz allow 30 busniess days for your case to be reviewed O____________O What???

If you didnt review my package, then why do I have a checklist???

Shes's like, its is to "remind" you of any "missing" documents that you "might" have. O_______________O

Then when I asked her that that this doesn't make ANY sense, how can you send me a checklist without knowing if I have it or not, if...apparently it hasn't been reviewed

And she kept saying it takes 30 business days!!
