No worries :)

I called today and got the same response. Wait for 4 weeks. My case was also shipped on April 23th from NSC. Hopefully they log it tomorrow or Monday. It doesn't take more than 2 weeks after being shipped.

Yes, I am definitely thinking that by Monday, they should already have our cases. Maybe that's just wishful thinking but we'll see!

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

ARGGGG frustrateeeeed with DHL!!!

husband mailed checklist stuff from Scotland on Tuesday but missed the 3pm shipment, so it went out Wed and it is still in the UK! He thought he asked for next day delivery.. cripes. I am wondering if the guy gave us the wrong thing, i told him it would cost 38 pounds for express worldwide, but they only charge 29 mmmm

GUYS, I REALLY NEED HELP!!

What the hell is going on with my case, I spoke to a tier 2 just a couple of minutes ago, he said that our case is out of his hands obviously and when I asked if it was sent to NVC yet he said no, it's being sent to my embbassy and they will contact me for an interview. #######? Is this normal? I really don't know what's going on....

I'm from the September filers group, and we were just contacted by NVC yesterday by email with our NVC case number and instructions on the AOS form and fee as well as information on filling out the online DS-261 form. Getting excited here! Things are coming along! Good luck to all!

Okay, so our AOS package looks like this:

What do you guys think, do we have everything covered?

Do you have anything to support your employment or schooling plans? I'm sure there are many things that could be added to the domicile section, but that's the first thing that came to mind for me (someone who hasn't focussed on the topic since we don't have that step... so take what I say with a grain of salt :rolleyes: )

Do you mind sharing with the group what this was about? I quoted the person you were responding to also but accidentally deleted it and I can't remember what page it was on haha. But I know he/she mentioned AOS checkboxes.

So on the I-864-- were y'all talking about the checkboxes that have to do with whether the sponsor includes one year or three years of tax transcripts? There is that one box that says "check here if you include only one year" and on the next page the optional part where you can check the box if you're including the other two years...I was going to have my joint sponsor check both boxes since he's including three years of tax transcripts. Is that right? That part of the form is weird and needs to be updated.

Or were you talking about something else? Thanks!

they were probably discussing how people have gotten checklists for leaving some blanks in the AOS form, even though the instructions clearly state to 'leave blanks' if not applicable... so most folks have chosen to add 'none' or 'N/A' in empty spaces, or put for example 'same as above' in the "mailing address if different from above" line.

And yes, check both boxes if including 3 years of transcripts:)

I wouldn't worry yet, as I've seen a lot of strange things happen in the time between being sent from USCIS to NVC... and neither location seems to be able to guide folks as to where their case is or what the details might be on the situation.

You could always try calling USCIS again (suggestions on this forum include repeated calls and taking the general consensus when there are differing responses)... or you could wait till next week and try again... or maybe someone else here has some other information that is more helpful on the topic :hehe:

Guys when we call NVC to ask if they have recieved our case do they ask for approval number too? I called them for the third time today. Yesterday they said they haven't recieved it today the guy I thnk Shawn asked me to read the first two lines of my approval letter. Simce my husband has it I told him I don't have it yet so he said ok then call when u have it. Is it normal? Or was he just mr. Nasty pants? Lol

Got my Police report safely through the mail al the way from Tegucigalpa- that was a relief in itself- I had FEARS that it would get lost in the mail-

Called Lawyer and they verified that they sent to original birth cert.... Called NVC back and talked ot Jean.. She put us in for a supervisor review because I challeged them. It is absolutely the original. It is just really old looking. It has the stamps on it and the numbers of what book and page it is recorded at the registry. Also a second page with more stamps.

I am sending my husband all the way to San Jose tomorrow just to get a certified copy just incase and I will send it again !! #######??? and Jean told me I don't need to get it translated since its going to a spanish speaking embassy.. ( not sure I will believe her but they have the original translation in the original package) Not too sure about what they are telling me . Jean told me they are not even finished reviewing the package. So maybe they will see a supervisor request and get it done all in one shot. She did tell me Supervisor reviews take up to 30 days ( but doesn't everything at the NVC?) I'm so angry. This is a joke. They have to realize that every country is different. Not all birth certs are pretty like the United States.

Hey it doesn't take 30 days. I think the supervisor review has the same turn around about 2 weeks... That day I called (04/23 I think) and they said I sent the wrong birth certificate. I asked for a supervisor review (not knowing that my husband did give me the wrong birth certificate even though I told him which one I needed ?) I sent the correct r birth certificate the next day.... Received email about the check list on 04/24...I received a second checklist for the birth certificate yesterday 04/30.... So I think that may have been a response to the supervisor review? Maybe

May 23 - applied for SSN. June 2 - received my SSN Jun 9 - got a job. July 21 - received my green card (wrong expiration date and combined first and middle name, filed for I-90-correction) Aug 08 - applied for a state ID Sep 05 - biometrics appointment  Oct 09 - received my state ID Nov 03 - post decision activity (I-90 application) Nov 07 - card/document production (need to wait for 30 days for my new green card) Nov 10 - received the new green card (2 months & 5 days)

Calling NVC now. Evidently I do need to send in proof of emolument even though I'm abroad and everyone here and in NVC has told me differently. Also, I was told there were "questions" about IV packet as well. Wonder if it's the same as lovemytico- about birth cert.

Feb 3, 2014: TSC sends case to NVC
April 14: Real checklist for AOS (saying tax number was incorrect when it wasn't)
April 30: Another AOS checklist, for proof of employment (which was already sent)
May 1: Checklist for IV- certified marriage certificate (even though I sent a certified one originally)
July 1: INTERVIEW!!! - APPROVED!
July 16: POE through Miami
July 22: SSN card in the mail
August 30, 2014: Green card arrives in the mail!!!
 
ROC: 366 days
April 27, 2016: Sent 300 page ROC packet to VSC via overnight mail
May 16: Check shown as charged online, received NOA 1 dated April 29
June 20, 2016- Biometrics
April 28, 2017: Approval
May 4, 2017: Approval letter arrived
May 15, 2017: GC arrives in mail
 
N-400: 190 days
May 8: Sent packet to Dallas Lockbox
May 12: NOA 1, Credit card charged
June 7: Biometrics
June 16: "In line"
Oct 2: Interview letter arrives (online status still says ''in line'')
Oct 31: Interview- Approved!
Nov 13: Oath ceremony!  Applied for passport & registered to vote on site.
Nov 22: Passport arrives (paid for expedited service and overnight delivery)
 
Journey complete! A total of 1701 days or 4 years, 7 months and 26 days.
