but for the passport picture, my husband sent them over email, so i don't have them as a physical copy

My wife had more recent pictures taken too and emailed them to me- I took the electronic file and went to a local service and had passport photos made- I also used an online service for passport photos in the past-- it was a little less expensive- but I am pretty sure you MUST have actual passport photos- - I do not believe they will accept it printed out onto plain paper in word or a *pdf file. or at least I would not take the chance on that being an issue-- are you state side? any drugstore photo store can give you passport photos from an electronic file just put it on a flash drive-

So, when deciding whether the joint sponsor should fill out the I-864 or 1-864A, it's only based on whether or not the joint sponsor fills out their own taxes? I'm confused. :/

If the joint sponsor is a true household member, ie claims the sponsor on their taxes or vice versa, then they use an I864a.

Ok, thank you. So, if the joint sponsor just shares the same principal address (my sister lives at my parents' address still) as I do but does not claim me/I don't claim her, then she would file the normal I-864?

I think people didn't understand what I am trying to say. I know that if I am sending my documents through regular postal mail, then yes I need physical passport picture and not ones saved into words or pdf, BUT i am doing electronic processing, which means I send all of my documents via email.

I got an email to pay the Iv bill from nvc. So why can't I pay it, it says $0.00 under it and it's not selectable. Today's the second day of this, should I wait some or call nvc??

Yeah, it's a self-cleaning litter box. Basically, after the cat does their business, a rake goes through and pushes the poop to the front, underneath a box. Then, about once a month for one cat, you take out the box from underneath and throw it out. From my personal experience, this is INCORRECT. I was recently checklisted for my AOS having sent in an I-864 for myself, while my father (whom I am currently live with) sent in an I-864 for himself + and I-864A for my mother (they file Jointly). When I called in to get help to complete the checklist, I was informed that since I am currently living with them, I can include them in my "Household" and both will fill out I-864As and my declared household income will reflect mine + my parents. It seems ridiculous to me that they would checklist this, but I suppose I understand it. (See I-864A definitions of household member here: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864ainstr.pdf, see relative bullet point)

I completed the checklist, and am now on about day 10 of waiting for a response. Hopefully will come soon, as my wife just returned to Argentina after a 1 month visit, and the next ticket we plan to buy will be her 1-way. When I receive a reply, I will update this thread, hopefully to confirm that this is correct information. I will also add this info to the WIKI (please remind me as much).

You can always buy 2 of them, one for each Although, I believe you can use one for 2 cats, you'd just have to change it more often.

It takes a couple of days (2-3 business days) for the fee to be selectable. Wait until tomorrow. If it continues 4 or more days I would call and ask about it. Of course it's up to you when you want to call or how long you want to wait.
