i'm going to follow your timeline. Based on my estimate, you should receive a case complete in 5-6 days. Just want to see how good/bad my estimate is and get an idea about my case :)

also your time line has a wrong date 2014-05-28. Should be 4/28!

okay, i am freaking out. I am looking over my i864 document and i noticed that it said SECURED next to the name of the file when I open it. I downloaded into from the NVC website and saved it to my computer and filled it out. DId everyone had the same thing? If not, how do I fix it? I don't want NVC to not be able to open it :crying:

The I-864 still needs to be printed out and signed, so do that and then scan it back in.

Also, I am trying to fix the 2 passport picture. I pasted the pic into words, wrote the full name, date of birth and case number. I saved it as pdf, when I open it on adobe, it shows the picture and the all of the empty, white space from words, is that acceptable?

I assume you have your pictures printed out? Write physically on the back of the picture the name, DOB and case number. Put the two pictures side by side on the scanner, one face up and one face down. Scan and then flip. Make sure you scan the pictures into a pdf file. That way you don't have to fuss with word or paint documents.

Is he your dependent (in fed taxes) or rather the other way around? If he files his own taxes then he fills I-864.

So, when deciding whether the joint sponsor should fill out the I-864 or 1-864A, it's only based on whether or not the joint sponsor fills out their own taxes? I'm confused. :/

AoS fee has nothing to do with DS261.

AoS fee should be invoiced anytime.

Once DS261 apporved, teh IV fee will be invoiced.

wow, totally forgot about them being signed :oops:

but for the passport picture, my husband sent them over email, so i don't have them as a physical copy

Nvc had a another email address on file that i never put. Now im worried that they f***up ds261 since yest i also recieved a email with a "third party agent" on it

I had my interview on April 29th also in Holtsville unfortunately I still did not get any letter for my oath yet :( I checked on the uscis tracker with my receipt number and it still shows the same status that my letter was sent out for interview processing etc etc. I'm not sure how much longer they will take to schedule me but im crossing my fingers they do it soon. The officer did mention to me it'll be in central islip court and that they were sending out letters for oath dates for mid may.. now that you told me you have your oath on may 20th, with no letter received yet im guessing I wont be in for may which sucks! When did you have your interview and get your oath letter? I don't know what's taking them so long.

Also will you apply for your passport during the ceremony or do it separately? Are you also planning on applying for the I-130 as well, if so do keep me posted!

Alright... Interview was on april 23rd, and my online status changed to oath ceremony notice sent on may 6th.

so looks like your status will change very soon and the oath letter will follow. BTW i am also in Floral Park.
