After 47mins on hold Jean answers. Asked about update on our case. She said she can see there are 2 unopened pieces of mail scanned under our case number.

Unopened! IV packet scanned in on Apr 29th and AOS on May 1st..

Good lord this is frustrating....

Not sure if this makes you feel better or worse: my IV packet was scanned in 28-Apr, and nothing yet!

They are now working on mail received 24/25-Apr. So, almost there! couple of more days before they get to us!

ok.. 24-25 Apr is not too bad.. still ridiculous but hey! Hopefully both of us will be lucky and have a case complete by end of next week!

Hahahahahaaaa yeah what an odd word to use Alien I know the meaning and yes can be used for someone not being from that country or place but come on it sounds really strange heheeeee. Beneficiaries should go dressed with antennas sticking out of their heads

I've always found this whole alien thing quite bizarre. I was a "non-resident alien" (that's an official designation for tax purposes in the US!) for as long as a lived there! I now have a Facebook albumn titled "E.T. Phone Home" and it's where I post my husband and I's FaceTime/Skype screenshots! I also created my little "avatar" of how E.T. would phone home nowadays! I just hope this process won't make a horrible creature burst out of my chest, but rather, I'll fly back home with a beautiful moon in the background

And kitty and I are doing well She's definitely settled in. Finally received her cat tree last week and put it together over the weekend. It's a little small for her, but she likes one of the platforms to sleep on. Plus there's a dangling toy Now, if she only would transition to her new litter box that has been out for 2 weeks that cost me $130 And my cat stays inside. Can't exactly let her out as we live on the third floor in an apartment

I know this feeling . Its awful, you know nothing and you can do nothing, mails, calls-nothing helps, you just wait. They say it can take 8 weeks and that is. Our 'travelled" from CSC to NVC 7 weeks.

Yes it's a very cruel process from start to finish but what can we do but take one step at a time until we get there. But at the end it's well worth it.

I hope and pray that your time at NVC will be a short one to makeup for the time wasted at USCIS.

I spent a lot on my automatic cat feeder, but was worth every penny, as i go away a lot-- to see husband -- and my neighbour looks in on them every day or so to scoop poop, but their food comes out twice a day- brilliant thing! - Super Feeder.
